Film Review / Licorice Pizza: A Generation of Movie Magicians, a Remastered Vinyl Record
Movies such as "Pizza with Licorice" seem to restore a nearly lost hand-made dish, and PTA is one of the few successors of Hollywood classical literature and art films.
A love between siblings, reflecting the splendor of Hollywood in the 1970s, one side is hippie, one side is prosperous, and the shooting is very classical. Sending a love letter across the era to the contemporary, like a work made before everything happened, a vinyl record that has been restored.
I thought it was just a light sketch, but it was extremely wonderful. The signature long shots, delicate scene scheduling and aesthetics, restoring the elegance can be described as a generation of movie magicians.
In my heart, PTA is the best contemporary director, bar none. Yield, stability and talent are irresistible, only obsessed. This is the best film that can't get the best picture. Where can I find such a contemporary video poet with excellent narrative ability? Who can taste it?
This is a collection of films belonging to the PTA, which selects his feelings for the 1970s bit by bit. Music used Nina Simon, The Door, Chuck Berry, Bing Crosby, PAUL McCARTNEY. Write Dean Martin into the lines, find Sean Penn to play Willow Horton ("The Bridge on the River Kwai"), and tell a story about "The Battle of the Duguli Bridge" and "The Burning Skyscraper".
I cried as I talked, because it was gone.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
