How to open wisdom | Let us stay away from troubles and fears~
You have your way, I have mine. As for the proper way, the right way, and the only way, there is no such way. - Nietzsche
A reader left a message to me, and he said, "I've worked hard to learn, take notes, grow...but I just can't remember. How can I unlock wisdom?"
Answering this question does not mean that I have supreme wisdom, I just talk about my own understanding and realization of "wisdom".
In fact, this reader's message is very representative, and many people have asked me similar questions. For example, when they encounter relationship difficulties, they ask, "So what do you think I should do?"
Of course I don't tell them directly what to do, I can only tell them, "You always know what to do with yourself, and the reason you're asking this question right now is because you're so far away from who you really are, As for not being able to perceive the truest thoughts in your heart. The only way to find that answer is to quiet yourself down and perceive your true self. Gradually, you will find that the answer is so clear. Then, you will naturally know what to do manage."
Of course, when many people listen to it, they may not understand it, or they may feel that what I said is equal to not saying it. That just means that they need spiritual growth too much, because wisdom is contained in the process of spiritual growth.
It would be a very dangerous and tragic act for a person to easily hand over the infinite possibilities of his life to another person. No one but himself, no matter how successful he is, he can't tell another person which way to go. As Nietzsche said:
You have your way, I have mine. As for the proper way, the right way, and the only way, there is no such way.
If someone gave us a definition of "wisdom", or if he clearly told us what to do with wisdom, then I would choose to stay away from this person because he is killing my sense of life and creativity .
When a person tells others that he has found the truth, then we should doubt whether what he has found is the truth; when a person tells others that he has wisdom, then we should doubt whether he has real wisdom.
Truth and wisdom, is never a knowledge or something fixed somewhere, it cannot be found. But it does exist all the time and everywhere. It is hidden in the change of all things, in our awareness of the present moment, in our connection to the universe...
This reminds me of a lot of people who spend a lot of money just to have a lunch with Buffett, and that aside from the vanity aspect, they're just trying to get some of the so-called "wealth recipes" from Buffett. However, since 1957, Buffett has unreservedly shared his own experience in every letter to shareholders, but few people have the wisdom to read it. People always want to get some wise words from his mouth, and they can't wait for him to tell them a few stock symbols. But Buffett does tell people something more valuable than they might have expected. It's hard not to say that Buffett is indeed a man of super-intelligence.
So why do most people just want an answer when they have a problem? It goes back to ancient times.
In ancient times, conserving physical energy made it more efficient to find food, shelter, compete for mates, and even fight predators... The adult brain weighs about 2% of body weight, but it consumes 20% of daily energy requirements. In today's society, we call eating when we are full as "lazy", but in ancient times, this was a very necessary survival strategy. As a result, this instinctive mechanism of brain laziness has been carried over and is still at work today. One of its manifestations is that most people only like ready-made answers rather than thinking. This is a genetic continuation that is deeply embedded in the neurons of the human brain. This is one of them;
Second, most of us are taught to be smart from a young age. We're used to learning to be smart, because that means we'll be liked, we'll be rewarded...
But smart people can only see the present, and can only take into account the present. For them, the "long-term" is an imminent ordeal. But "people without far-sightedness must have near-term worries". When we can't take a longer-term view, all kinds of worries and troubles are bound to appear at the moment.
When we only want a standard answer, it is the manifestation of our instinct to seek security unconsciously. And once we do, we can only be reduced to a product on an assembly line, or a machine or a tool, and cannot become a life full of vitality, because vitality means change and creativity.
This is easy to understand - it's like we have a pot of flowers, from the time we put the seeds in the soil, we have set a series of standards for it - it must germinate within a few days, how tall and what the bud must grow into Like, when must it bloom, what color, what shape...is it possible?
Since we have the answer in our hearts, why should we apply this childish and pathetic behavior to ourselves or our family again and again?
Remember the fairy tale of the pony crossing the river as a child? If the pony doesn’t explore and try for himself, then who is right? If the pony grows into a strong horse, does the feeling happen again? change?
Real life, with variability, complexity and richness. Any "standard" can only play a negative role in killing life, rather than a positive growth role.
We have been doing things that run counter to wisdom for a long time and still want wisdom, just as we want to go left and right, which cannot happen. In such a situation, we can only involuntarily move in the direction that we are familiar with and deepen the bondage under the pull of karma.
Since we were born to the present, even with the memory of all past karma, we are always used to accumulating, whether knowledge, traditions, wealth, behavior patterns, etc., etc. We always believe that the more we accumulate, the better. However, it is this accumulation that keeps deepening our karma, making us unable to be free, and even bringing us deep pain and fear.
Wisdom is not the accumulation of knowledge, not the accumulation of experience, tradition, memory, whatever. On the contrary, to seek wisdom requires that we first throw away all accumulations of knowledge, experience, tradition, and memory. See the world through the eyes of a newborn.
A wise man can focus on any kind of present moment (good or bad), he does not do it for the sake of.... When he becomes what he really is; when every moment becomes completely real; when he has no action, no desire, no desire, no self, wisdom will meet him unexpectedly. A never-ending path of discovery.
