This is an exhibition that belongs to every generation of Taiwanese, and to everyone who grew up listening to Chinese pop music.

The exhibition is distributed on three floors. According to the tour route, people will go to the highest floor first and then go down in order. The exhibition has constantly emphasized the relationship between music and life from the very beginning. We can see from the classic songs, the things related to pop music, the big island events they put together, that many songs reflect the ethos of different eras, and how the evolution of the media has made popular music more popular. .

The exhibition also has a lot of current technology interaction methods. Everyone has their own navigation machine. When they walk to the induction place, they will start explaining and playing the music of the theme. Although the induction accuracy can be further improved, there is no need to press numbers. Directly listening to the sound or music, on the contrary, it also makes people feel more involved in the situation; there is also an interactive wristband, after sensing the wristband at each sensing point, the access point can be memorized, and after returning home, it can be accessed again through the Internet. It's interesting to see the access points that the bracelet has sensed.

[Times Electric Line] I think the scene is well done. Picture tube TV, radio, and classic TV programs of different eras, "Dragon Brothers and Tigers", "Super Sunday", "Queen of Generations", "Meteor Garden", "Super Walk of Fame"...

But what I think is the best is the model of [Taipei Circle] , on which the bustling of different eras is projected. For me, who was born in Taipei, grew up eating braised pork rice in the ring, and witnessed the dismantling of the ring with my own eyes, it is indescribable to see the ring reappearing in front of me. Even if it's just a scaled-down model, it still makes people see the years missed by being too young.

[Taipei Theater] is also a scene that I think is very classic. My movie theater experience is all about sofa seats. I have never experienced the era of wooden chair cushions, and the screen plays popular music from different eras because of movies. We may not be able to watch movies all the time, but we can make the theme song that carries the movie repeat infinitely.

The next exhibition area comes to 【Train Train】 .

After the appearance of life, when we grow up, we start to go out to find more answers, more appearance of life. Get on the train, get on the plane, get on the bus.... Take all kinds of transportation to the distance. One song after another carries dreams, nostalgia, expectations and fears for the future, we move forward or go home.

It's a pity that [Folk Song Period] is really not my era, but the songs at that time were full of literary flavor, and the poetry was added to the song, which increased the literary emotion in popular music. The "Olive Tree" that everyone has heard in different eras is also the music that has been circulating since that era. Just know that some things really don't go away.

The music that young people sing and listen to also reflects their own values. [ The Spiritual World of Young People ] The exhibition area presents a room in the form of projection. The scene style changing with the music really allows us to see objects of different eras, and accurately allows us to see people of different styles and what their rooms will look like , What song will you listen to.

Come to the fifth floor. No matter what kind of person you are, what you care about, or what the room looks like, the topic that everyone will encounter is probably love, right? In my life, I have experienced unrequited love, falling in love, broken love... [Music Love Story] One after another popular love songs, line by line of widely circulated lyrics, accompany us through the ups and downs of all kinds of love.

When you hear that song, who do you think of?

 The moonlight swaying and the tree shadows shuttled through the tropical rain forest. The sad rain kept drenching all over my body. I was deep in the swamp. My unbearable love was my helpless sadness.

Moving on, I saw [ The Birth of the Record] , which contains many precious manuscripts, from the album's planning, the packaging of the theme, the background of the times, and the interviews with the people behind the album, among which:

This sentence particularly touched me. I seldom listened to new music afterwards, and it stayed about ten years ago. It’s been a long time since I’ve updated pop music information, and to a certain extent I’m also one of those people who think the old days were better , maybe old school, so I’d feel tired if I moved forward, absorbed new cultures or It is fear of accepting new stimuli. But wasn't I like that before?

More often, I hear the long words of the elders in the family, which are full of criticisms such as "our music used to be better, but now we don't know what we are singing". I agreed with it at first, but gradually I felt that it was not quite right. After watching the exhibition, I realized that because music is not good or bad, this is the popular state. Music is to present the style that people of every generation and era care about and like. It's neither good nor bad.

The last exhibition area on the fifth floor is [The Charm of Music] . There are many items full of age, vinyl records, karaoke show clothes, concert clothes, posters... There is also an event that I think is very important, that is SARS in 2003, although I was still relatively young at that time, I don’t remember the extent of the impact of the epidemic, but I do remember this song and the confidence that this song gathered at that time.

After watching this exhibition, I realized that music is really a good friend for all moods. Haven't really thought about why music is important to us before?

It also reminds me of the college days, club activities will also be accompanied by a lot of music. The morning exercise with children, the camp song of each service team, the team song passed on each session, and the bits and pieces of the experience with partners are all accompanied by music.
