One of them is regular cooperation with the blockchain art media c2x3, and the first cooperation topic is "Web3 Art Industry Beginner's Guide". We look forward to having extensive interviews with Web3 collectors, art institutions, artists, virtual art galleries, blockchain development, smart contracts, etc., so that the Web2 audience can understand the ecological aspect of Web3 from more endpoints.

"Programs will serve as containers for art and creativity, practices that will blur the lines between art, design, science, and engineering."
– Golan Levin

Facing the soul torture of friends, why do you like NFT? Due to the many reasons in the middle, I can't always give a satisfactory answer. Maybe it’s because being able to observe the development of an art community up close is always exciting and exciting; or maybe there are many interesting mechanisms and gameplay in the Web3 world, which often arouse our curiosity and attention; Or, looking for open and transparent information and records on the blockchain, there is a sense of search and reveal.

However, the most important thing is that c2x3 is a die-hard supporter of art, keen to observe the occurrence of digital art, when generative art can only be downloaded by right-clicking and has little value. This way of creating through programming language as a creative container has always attracted us deeply, as if it can be regarded as a model of communication between humans and machines.

With the explosion of NFT in 2020 and the emergence of the word "profit", a new type of art industry chain was quietly born. More and more art supporters gathered on various art creation platforms and traded open and transparent art. in the market. Although it is not yet clear whether commercial practices will have a negative impact on artistic creation. But we feel that in this short and rapidly compressed time, digital art and generative art seem to open up new horizons on the blockchain. During this period, these "artistic creations on the blockchain" have exploded rapidly, and have not been affected by the collapse of virtual currencies. They are more about the creation and discussion of materials, themes, and styles, and the works The number of content and topics has also grown significantly.

Based on the preference for digital art and generative art, c2x3 hopes to share with you the "blockchain art industry" we observed. We will start with the observation of blockchain art by art institutions; share the imagination of virtual art galleries for the future and digital art display; the stories of new collectors who have entered art collections because of blockchain; who are both engineers and How do creators with dual identities of artists act as a bridge between technology and art? The last two themes of this series are the perspective of a smart contract engineer and the story of a blockchain development engineer. It is an attempt to build a complete imagination of the blockchain art industry with everyone in a blind way through various aspects.

Finally, while c2x3 and Art Touch are planning this series of articles, the Center Pompidou in France and LACMA, the largest art museum in the West, have successively started collecting blockchain art. They seem to be echoing us and starting blockchain art together. new chapter. (Text ∕ c2x3)

It may not be a wise choice to refuse to invest in NFT, but to be able to choose the right participation model.
─Domenico Quaranta, "Legacy: Contemporary Art and NFTs"

The most projected content setting of traditional art media is to provide an ecological index. My personal mission for the media is to face public and emerging issues and make the issues as "transparent" as possible for readers to make up for it. The closed nature of the resource and knowledge distribution of the elite art community oligarchy is what the art media in "Web2" is trying to expose every day and every night.

I think the initial motivation of a traditional media to move closer to emerging issues is to benefit its own organization, whether it is reputation, influence, or real benefits. When dealing with the issuance of last year's collection of NFT membership cards and the "2022 Crypto Art Market Report", I think the most correct decision in the entire process was that the media did not outsource the actual execution links to any active Web3 community, and let others do the work for them. The media is moving toward Web3, but the media is going to step in and confirm its position and landing point in Web3 by taking swift steps. I still think this posture is the most effective way to understand all emerging issues—you only know the depth and shallowness of the bottom only by sinking into it.

The charm of Web3 lies in the fact that many of its definitions, models, and ecology are yet to be clarified and blurred, and it has many simultaneous contradictions, including NFT financial speculation and decentralized utopian ideals. Part of the hype will exacerbate inequality. , but when turned to other applications, it can fill the traditional world to generate more equity in terms of race, gender and geopolitics.

The art ecology on the chain has also caused a qualitative change in the established role of the traditional art industry. Including art on the chain often has the dual characteristics of "participation" and "ownership", the artist may be a collector, a platform party and other multiple roles at the same time. The collector can replace the role of the auction house and execute bidding and bidding. These behaviors and role positioning are still liquid and unformed. Last year, more than half of the first batch of members who received the "Collection ARTouch" NFT membership card left their virtual wallet addresses. In order to serve this group of new members that the media has won In 2023, "Collection ARTouch" will clearly add Web3-related media content.

"Neglecting" cannot prevent trends and changes. To become a participant and understander, one can at least be qualified to see the channel.
