Life | Don’t dare to talk about politics and stance with friends
In life, I don’t talk much about politics with my friends, especially my own political stance and orientation. However, I care about politics, and working in the media, it is necessary to understand the current politics.
Why not talk politics with your friends? I'm afraid that everyone's political stance is different. I have experienced that no matter how good friends are, they will fall out because of talking about politics, and they will become irreconcilable!
For example, the United States has only two political parties: the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Taiwan has Blue and White. People will be divided because of the different political parties they support. The situation in Malaysia is the same, and even more complicated.
There are many political alliances and parties in Malaysia. There are currently four political party alliances in the ruling unity government, including the Alliance of Hope (the political parties include the Justice Party, the Democratic Action Party, and the Amanah Party), the Barisan Front (the political parties include Umno, MCA, National Congress Party, etc.), Sarawak Political Parties Alliance GPS (political parties include the Bersatu Party, the United People's Party, the Democratic Progressive Party, and the People's Party) and the Sabah Alliance (Sabah political parties). The opposition parties are mainly the National League (PPB, PAS and the Democratic Party). political party) and muda (a political party dominated by young people), etc.
Although Pakatan Harapan and Sarawak are cooperating in governing in the federal government, Pakatan Harapan is an opposition party in Sarawak. They will fight each other in the Sarawak elections. Isn't it very complicated?
The demands of each political party are different, and some political parties focus on their own ethnic or religious struggle, so they will attract the support of different people, including family members in a family, who may support different things. partisan, let alone among friends.
So every time my friends talk about politics, I will still talk about it, but only about the good and bad policies implemented by the government, but I will never talk about who I support. I always say that it is a secret, because I learn from the conversation You can roughly guess who they support. Some of them are very different from me, so in order to avoid quarrels over which political party is better to support and affect the friendship, I won't talk about it.
I once saw that during this election period, several of my friends had different positions. What was originally a pleasant dinner party ended up quarreling over the political parties they supported, and even resorted to violence. In the end, they couldn't even be friends.
Also, what I fear the most is being asked about my position, especially with friends from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Because I often go to some writing forums on the Internet, and I chased celebrities when I was very young, I got to know friends from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and three places, especially friends who are chasing stars. I love to chat in groups. Although most of them talk about their idols, they occasionally talk about political issues.
Because I am a minority in the group, including being a boy and not from cross-strait or three places. When talking about some political positions, I will be asked about my position. Who do I support? I was breaking out in a cold sweat right now. What does this have to do with me? I’m not from these three places, so whatever I say is wrong, I just responded, “Haha, I don’t understand much about this.” I deceived them.
Of course, the Chinese community in Malaysia has its own supporters. The older generation of Chinese are of course closer to China, but recently we can also see that the Mesozoic generation and the younger generation are also very close to China. Because many Chinese, especially independent high school students, I went to university in Taiwan, so I am relatively supportive of Taiwan. You can often see different supporters fighting each other on social media!
In addition, you can also see people who are pro-American and pro-China quarreling and mocking each other on social media. The codenames they give them are, those who are pro-China are Zhonghuajiao, and those who are pro-American are Muyang Dog.
In fact, sometimes I don’t understand why a Malaysian would care too much about the affairs of other countries. Of course, we live in a global village now and may all be implicated, but isn’t proper understanding and attention enough? ? Why are Malaysians themselves quarreling over the affairs of other countries?
Of course, there are still many people around me who don't care about politics. They are so busy with life and economic issues every day that they don't even care about the politics of their own country. Then they have time to care about the affairs of other countries.
I have always believed that everyone on the planet is a community. Wouldn’t it be great if we could put aside our stance, struggle for power, and terrible desire to rule the world, and all people on the planet could live in peace and achieve a harmonious world?
But there are too many different positions, and everyone thinks that they are right, and for this to be right, they even fight to prove it, and the result is leading mankind to the end!
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
