Say goodbye to internships

Origin and demise. The world is full of feasts.

The school stipulates that the internship is at least 12 weeks, but we were too comfortable on the island, so we decided to extend our internship for one more month, and the boss said yes after knowing it.

This extra month is approaching the rainy season. It has rained many days. The weather is so cold that people don’t want to leave the nest and sofa. The cat, who is usually very cold, also came to sleep on the sofa with us.

sleep like a child.

In the last week before we left, we wanted to organize a birthday celebration under the guise of a farewell party. Two interns were birthday stars in November.

The friend planned everything, including finding the recipe for the cake and writing down the required ingredients, and then asked someone to buy it.

The night before our birthday, we ran over to a neighbor's house to borrow the kitchen and made tiramisu and brownies.

We are so afraid that we will wear gangs, so there will be no surprises, and it will not be fun. Under the guise of going to the toilet, we sneaked out quickly after dinner to the kitchen next door.

My friend said, I really don't know how bad people do so many bad things. We are very trembling when we do this kind of thing.

Bad guys have a lot of guts, haha.

The night of our birthday was our last night on the island.

After the birthday celebration, we all went back to our room to pack our luggage.

very tired.

On the afternoon before our birthday, we watched a horror movie called the medium. Mom, it was so scary. My roommate and I slept with the lights on on the last night on the island. As soon as I closed my eyes, I remembered a horrible scene. I'm hungry very fast.

When we left the next day, everyone was crying.

I didn't expect that I would cry. Before that, I didn't feel that parting was very sad. What's so sad? Life still has to go on. We can't stay on the island for internships all our lives.

I cry because I can't bear my friends, eat and drink together, and smell each other's farts.

There are 6 of us, only me is Chinese, the rest are Malays. I learned a lot about Islam and Malay life.

For example, now I can eat with my hands.

There are also weird little tidbits, like Muslims can't fix their eyebrows because religion doesn't allow them to change their faces. I'm quite surprised about this. But there is also a solution, and you can also use liquid foundation to cover the extra eyebrows.

I love watching kirim salam among the Malays, which means hello.

It's like when a friend ends the call with her grandma, she will tell us that her grandma kirim salam to us, and we will say hello nenek at the same time, even though grandma is not there. Nenek means grandma in Malay. There is a harmonious atmosphere.

In fact, Chinese people also have the habit of greeting, but my family does not have it, so it was very novel when I first encountered it.

It's no exaggeration to say that we smell each other's farts.

If we get along with people we don’t know well, we will go farther to fart, but when we are together, we are too lazy. Before we fart, we would say, “I want to fart.” , if it stinks, don't breathe through your nose.

Of the six of us, three had big boobs, three had small boobs, and coincidentally none of us had medium sized boobs. I'm a small chest team, I don't think there's anything wrong with a small chest, a chest is a chest. Every time I listen to the big breasts team complaining about the bad breasts, they say that there is no benefit at all. I feel that the back is sore, and the underwear straps will be caught in the flesh of the shoulders. I am so sympathetic.

Compared with the housemates I rented a house before, I am more familiar with the intern Malay girls, which I think is quite amazing.

I also helped two of the girls cut their hair short. I'm not a hairdresser, so I have to be lucky enough to cut someone's hair, just like I've only cut my brother and my father at the moment. They have headscarves, so they prefer short hair, so I cut them short.

After leaving my internship, I felt empty. At that time, there was no one in my sister's house, so she left me the key. I was crying in an empty house, and life was suddenly quiet.

After three months on the island, I was a little flustered by the crowds on land, or maybe I was staying with someone else, so I kind of didn't know what I could do.

I also have an inexplicable strange feeling when I go out to buy food. For the past three months, I have been accompanied by someone for three meals, and suddenly I can only eat alone, feeling sad and lonely.

Although there is a mobile phone now, it is very convenient to communicate, but we can't go back to the time before, because we will never practice together again, and the next time we come to the island, it will definitely be a matter of personnel.

Parting is very sad, yes, but I can't deny that my internship life is very fulfilling. We play as much as we work, and we can have no pressure at all. We went on TV, sent countless little turtles back to the sea, finished second in a Philippine video production competition, dived four times, snorkeled and swam countless times, watched a lot of underwater creatures, and picked up garbage. Upcycle into exhibition items, run Instagram, and more.

I'm really grateful to be able to do what I love. In my previous job as a teaching assistant and tutor, I counted down the days when I resigned every day. Compared with this internship, there was a big difference.

When I came back, everyone said I was dark and fat. Indeed, it's hard to avoid getting tanned. Fat is also true, I gained five kilograms because my friend's cooking skills are very good.

I'm happy.

When I got back on land, I went to find a university teacher, and the matter of studying for a master was finalized. The school will start in March next year.

I have heard many people say that it is difficult to make money in childcare. I am very fortunate that although my family is not very rich, at least I have no financial burden. This is enough to support me to do what I want to do.

I am very happy. After the internship, I am not very confused. I am grateful for everything.
