As an artist, it is very important to know what people want, what they want to express, and how to prioritize and sequence the elements we use. Because they are the tools that help us access information. A method for storytelling purposes. The intensity of the image should be enough to convey the intent of the entire story. - fascination black and white

Recently, I have been doing the general practice of color black, white and gray, and I have a new understanding of the color picture. I would like to share some of my understandings. When many people draw, do they basically feel that they are drawing intuitively? But find that the results drawn are sometimes unsatisfactory? In fact, painting can be regarded as a kind of visual game. The composition, color, and placement of elements need to be carefully designed and arranged. The beauty of visual games lies in how well you understand the rules of the game. This is a very large subject, and it takes time to study. In terms of color arrangement, when we observe things, we should jump out of the tedious details and start with the overall impression of things. Study things as they are. When starting to create, the first thing to do is to analyze:

  • Where is the main focus of the picture?
  • What are the elements in the screen? Which are important and need to be highlighted? Which ones can be omitted? weakened?
  • What is the ratio of the color blocks?
  • What is the composition like? Center, triangle, linear, split…

Then generalize the exercise through black, white and gray, and the purpose is to choose and choose the characteristics of things. Simplify the complexity and analyze the proportional relationship of colors and composition design. When you learn to follow this method to create, the coloring after mastering the method will not be so tangled for a long time. Make the picture [more precise expression]

Some practice pictures, there are many pictures ~ need more effort to slide your mouse wheel.. 😂
