Xi Jinping is still insisting on clearing up, but instead, he is making trouble. Under the tough "clearing" policy, nearly 700 million people are undergoing normalized nucleic acid testing. The "zeroing" policy has become increasingly unpopular. In addition to causing the well-known humanitarian disaster, it has also plunged the economy into a severe crisis. Even Premier Li Keqiang admitted that the economy is worse than when the Wuhan epidemic broke out in 2020, which means it will be a long-term crisis. China's youth unemployment rate exceeds that of the European Union and the United States, and the manufacturing and service industries are also suffering from "epidemic".

The economic crisis has also exacerbated internal conflicts within the authorities. Li Keqiang represents Chinese capitalists and retired officials, among others, who believe that today's foreign policy and zero-clearing policies have undermined their connection to and profit-making in Western markets. This also makes the government's rule more unstable.

The anger of the masses has grown greatly. More and more people are ridiculing government policies and resenting nationalist propaganda. After "Laying Flat", "Run Xue" and "We Are the Last Generation" appeared on the Internet. Students from several colleges also protested, and more importantly, the youth class was radicalized due to the extremely low mobility. The authorities responded with greater repression and stronger nationalist propaganda.
