I happened to be having lunch at a buffet restaurant this afternoon when I felt a violent shaking.

Because I am very afraid of earthquakes, I am very sensitive to the abnormal shaking of my body, but it is often just a false alarm caused by the natural shaking of my body. Therefore, as long as this feeling of shaking occurs, I will definitely look at things that are easy to shake around me, such as chandeliers and water in a bottle, to determine whether it is an earthquake.

I looked up at the chandelier in the store, and it was shaking violently. After confirming that the earthquake was correct, I threw off my chopsticks and rushed out of the store, becoming the first person to do so. Then the clerk slowly walked out of the store to find out because the tiles of the nearby store fell. But the customers in the store were still enjoying their lunch calmly.

Because the clerk's "slow walk out of the store" and the other customers' "calm" contrast with my "first out of the door" behavior, which highlights my overreaction, embarrassment and nervousness. And before the earthquake was over, everyone returned to the store one after another, but I was still outside the door. I watched the people in the store look at me with the pestle outside the door, and suddenly felt so humiliated.

Then I remembered that a teacher once said that if there is an earthquake, the door must be opened to facilitate escape. In order to make my behavior of rushing out of the store not so funny, I also staged a play of pretending to be calm and kind and asking everyone if they want to open the store. But the door of the store is obviously always open.

After the earthquake, I went back to the store and looked at the chopsticks I threw to the floor. Auntie asked me to get a new pair, but the humiliating scene just now was still circling in my mind. I hurriedly used the spoon that I didn't throw away, and after eating the remaining two pieces of meat, I left in a hurry without looking back.

The moment I rushed out, it was too late to put on the mask, which meant that the employees in the store saw my full face. Since my embarrassment can be seen by the clerk even when my face can be identified, I will ban this store in the near future.
