Can the labor subsidy be withdrawn? ! Yet another fake government bailout 4.0 scam! If the subsidy is not received, the money will be exhausted first
Recently, the fraudulent and fake government issued a subsidy text message: "Congratulations, you can withdraw the labor subsidy", and attached a website link pretending to be Bailout 4.0. In fact, the purpose is to deceive your personal information, credit card information and online banking account password. Once you hand it over, a large amount of funds may be transferred out of your bank account in an instant.
Labor Subsidy Fishing Newsletter
Someone in Decca recently received a suspicious text message
Congratulations, you can withdraw the labor subsidy, click s[.]id/19z7q to withdraw
We have been reminding everyone that if there is a + sign at the beginning of the text message or phone call, be careful, because it may be an overseas call or a tampered phone number.
This phone number starts with +852 , you can find it by searching online, this is the international long-distance calling area code from Hong Kong
It's strange to think about it. Why does the Hong Kong phone call me to receive labor subsidies? I don't work in Hong Kong
Next, the anti-fraud expert will directly test it himself and show everyone what he wants to do.
Bailout 4.0 Refinement Plan
After clicking on the link, the website jumps to qlnctm[.]com , and enters the following page. Everything is even more strange... How could the Hong Kong newsletter take me to the Bailout 4.0 subsidy provided by the Taiwan Executive Yuan? Because this is totally fake!
The page says:
Collection time: March 1, 2022 - July 31, 2022 In response to the development of the domestic COVID-19 new crown pneumonia epidemic, the government's various government ministries and committees' rescue 4.0 plan was launched in January. This article is compiled according to personal identity category and industry category Consultation on various subsidy and loan programs (new Relief 4.0 Advanced Program), online during the epidemic!
There are several doubts on this page in sequence:
- There are typos and simplified characters: in this part, everyone can come and find out. In the event time and method, the editor can see two doubts about "starting" and "online processing"
- The quality of the photo is low: because this is simply a direct capture of the Executive Yuan's image, copied and pasted, not the original image file
- Application time for the Executive Yuan Bailout 4.0 Program : It started in June last year (110), and most of the application times have already passed. Please refer to the information provided by the Executive Yuan 👉 Bailout 4.0 Program + Revitalization Five Times Voucher
register log in
When I clicked " Receive Epidemic Prevention Subsidy Now ", I was brought to a login or registration screen, where I randomly called a set of phone numbers to register, but I didn't even have a verification text message, so I registered successfully and went to the next screen. No need to log in again
It also deliberately uses the icon of the Executive Yuan's 1988 bailout and revitalization, trying to mislead the public. This is the government website
Personal Information Fishing
After successful registration, he asked me to fill in my personal information, including ID photo, name, ID number, residential address
What's interesting is that I just filled in here, and even what I uploaded was not the photo of my ID card, but the web page I just captured. He also let me submit it successfully.
There are also some doubts here:
- ID card only requires one side? : Generally, when applying for official documents or bank accounts, the front and back sides of the ID card are required, and the camera must be taken with their system to confirm that the ID card is within the identification range, but this only requires you to upload a photo album. photo
- Non-Taiwanese Term "Identity Information"
- You can also submit successfully
Stealing credit card/bank account
Unexpectedly, stealing personal funds is not enough, his ultimate goal is actually the money in your bank
Next you will be asked if you have internet banking
Then, when the editor selected "Internet Banking User", he randomly selected a "Shanghai Commercial Savings Bank" and found that he not only asked for my financial card account, but also my user ID and online banking password ? !
It's all about logging into your bank account! Be careful as soon as you give out your money may be transferred
Not sure if this scam process is familiar to you? Because this is almost exactly the same as the fake Health Insurance Quicklink scam a while ago, here is a review: Health Insurance Department Phishing Scam! "Healthcare Express" did not send a complete electronic version of the SMS, and the information was stolen to receive life savings
Common bailout loan scams you may encounter next
1. Money stolen
According to the last step just now, if you fill in the financial card account, user ID and online banking password correctly, the fraudulent group can already log in to your online banking account according to the information you gave, and may even transfer funds.
2. Charge fees in various names
A normal bailout loan application does require some start-up fees, handling fees, processing fees, etc. . . . Execution fees, but usually only when the insurance and funding are finally determined .
However, bailout loan scams often collect fees under the guise of bank fees, insurance fees, lawyer fees, etc., but they often start charging before the appropriation, and finally when you have paid all the fees, the other party runs away. .
3. "The card number is entered incorrectly and the account is frozen"
Fraud prevention experts have recently had many readers who said that their account number was frozen when they entered the wrong card number when taking a loan, and the other party asked to submit tens of thousands of yuan in unfreezing money before they could withdraw the loan. And asked Xiaobian should I pay? The editor's answer is of course: " No! This is a scam! "
In fact, it's not that your card number is wrong at all. No matter how many times you check it and confirm it is correct, the other party will tell you that your card number is wrong.
The other party will even threaten the victim that if you do not pay the thawing fee, the legal department will deal with it and sue you for " fraudulent loan ". But in fact, paying it will not allow you to get the loan money, and even the other party will collect money from you in other names until you find out that it is a fraud.
How to spot bailout loan scams
1. Be cautious about the characteristics of bailout loan scams
- Phone/SMS starts with a + sign
- Simplified characters/typos/non-Taiwanese words appear
- The review method is too simple and does not require verification at all
- I haven't gotten the subsidy/loan, but I will ask you a bunch of fees first.
- Too many bank account/credit card information to enter, even including PIN and security code on the back of the card
2. Check with official agencies
It is suggested that the public should call the "1988 Relief and Revitalization Toll Free Hotline" for inquiries related to government loans and subsidies, or go directly to the official website of the "Executive Yuan 1988 Bailout and Revitalization Zone" to see if they can find the information in the newsletter on the official website. The mentioned subsidy programs, if any, should also be applied directly on the official website, not through the link provided in the SMS
If you are not sure who to call for this scam, or you have forgotten the number 1988, then you must remember the "165 Anti-Fraud Consulting Hotline", as long as you encounter anything suspicious, just call 165
3. Use Fraud Expert to Check Links
