At the time of writing, it happened to be the phoenix blooming season in June. At the same time, there will be a group of people wearing academic robes, saying goodbye to the long campus years, and logging out of student status from then on, riding the longing and the uncertainty of facing the unknown. .

The encounter with this book, perhaps like many others, is at the stage of confusion:

I know what I like and hate, but I don't know which way to go
Whenever I see people of the same age as me who lead a rich income and live a high-quality life, I can't help but feel a trace of envy and jealousy in my heart.
My academic background and major do not belong to today's mainstream. Is there any other possibility besides the conflict between ideals and reality?

Questions like this are endlessly replayed in my mind, and I always have mixed feelings about the future. I usually learn from books or audios the mental process and perspectives of past people on the life problem of "pursuing ideals" . The book "Life" was published, immediately place an order and read it.

"There is a job called life"

Author's resignation

Since graduating from college, he has been engaged in full-time work in an NGO. Every year, he has to lead a group to go abroad to provide volunteer services. This is the author Amazing's dream job since college.

Her work occupies her entire life, and she is chased by tedious and tedious tasks every day. In just three years, her initial enthusiasm has been exhausted. After struggling in every possible way, she decided to leave and regain control of her time.

However, after leaving the company, the mood is not all the sense of relief from unloading the burden, but then more anxiety and guilt, no stable income support, and strange vision projected by the surrounding, from time to time, I will have the idea of returning to the workplace again. The author is fortunate that she chose at that time: to explore other possibilities outside her busy work while touching the things she likes, so that she can gradually move towards the road of physical and mental healing and a freelance writer.

This book is not a life-saving book about how to escape from the workplace and move towards a happy life. The author describes the mental journey of overcoming external pressure and inner demons along the way, and finally being loyal to your true self. While reading, I can't help but connect with my own state and re-examine my timidity and anxiety.

Your Ego Anxiety May Be Projected From Others

We often mention the term "life victory group" in our conversations. The groups classified as life victory group are nothing more than people with high academic qualifications or high socioeconomic status and high incomes. The conditions are that there is no fixed salary, and the bank deposit is less than a bucket of gold. Otherwise, they are called "Life Failure Group" and "Lu Snake", which unfortunately become an appendage of society.

The author states in the book:

When someone in society proposes different thinking, it often causes anxiety. Rather than adjusting one's own view of the world, "excluding others" is a more common method used in human society, so as to ensure that the original consciousness can continue to be obtained. With support, people can live their lives the way they used to.

Therefore, those self-anxiety and lack of self-confidence may be the projection of external values. In fact, the world has not changed. What has changed is the way we view the world and ourselves.

Getting rid of the shackles of the mainstream is the solution to regaining freedom

When the author frankly disclosed the income of the first year of resignation on Facebook, he was not ashamed, but surprised: it turned out to let go of the desire to pursue the mainstream, insist on doing what you really like, and the inner motivation can take you forward slowly.

Even if you don't walk faster than others or earn more than others, you will have the highest sense of satisfaction in your heart. Compared with the previous one, when I received a salary, I would eat good food and buy brand-name bags to fill the emptiness. Instead of spending extravagantly, I could enjoy a meaningful life and see what I need and what suits me. The author calls this "the minimum good life." ".

I have read this book more than three times before and after. The author uses the most sincere words to point out his reflections on life, work, emotional relationships and other aspects. "There is a job called life" refers to being loyal to what the soul chooses to love, and to achieve an ideal life; from another perspective, when we keep thinking about what is the most important job in a person's life, and finally return to life, whether it is happiness or not It depends on whether you want to live a good life.

The above is to share after reading, welcome to leave a message to exchange, or share with friends who are also confused. In fact, being confused also means that we are moving forward. While pursuing ideals, we hope that we all have the ability to listen to our inner desires.
