What a wonderful trip experience - India - this is a day of no-stop accumulated car experience and broken thoughts
Good travel experience, good amazing record: 2018 India Gangotai Spiritual Tourism 4/11
Location: Rishikesh → Gangotri / Weather: Sunny → Rainy / Temperature: 22 degrees → 10 degrees
Wake up at 5am in Rishikesh, set off at 6am, followed by a 10-hour ride all day
Originally thought it would drive for such a long time, but later found that the journey was smooth. The main reason is that the Indian government has vigorously promoted the arrangement of the four major pilgrimage sites that are very important to Indians in the past 11 years. Therefore, the road conditions this time are unbelievably good. Almost all roads are asphalt roads, and many road sections have been opened to traffic on both sides of the road. (Think of the memories of that year, shaking all the way until you feel like your neck is broken!)
Also because the road became too easy to drive, the bus driver we took was probably still worried that there would be delays in the back section, so the front section tried hard to flick the tail, causing the whole bus crew to vomit and motion sickness, and almost no one was spared. Let everyone try to meditate all the way, and hope that the dizziness and nausea can be calmed down.
But the good thing is that we arrived at Gangotri earlier than 5pm.
Because of this trip, we set Gangotri to set off as soon as the mountain starts on April 1st. I didn't expect that the Indian travel agency said that this time Gangotri would not start until the 18th after the ticket was booked. We can only do it. I lived in a hotel about 40 minutes away from Ganguochui. In fact, at first everyone felt that it was a pity that I didn't have to live in Ganguochui, but when I checked into this hotel that day, everyone's heart was opened.
how to say?
In fact, in most parts of India, the rich and the poor are uneven. The wealthy people live in mansions with millions of dollars or more, while the poor people may have a one or two ping-sized earth-walled house, and the ground is casually paved on the roadside and picked up. stinky blanket, a family of eight, so you can probably imagine that you can either spend a lot of money on a pretty luxurious vacation in India, or you go the backpacker route, which most of the time , you may live in very "simple" ~ um.... I believe you can understand what I mean by simple. ....^_^
Since we are coming to a pilgrimage site today, you can probably know that there are actually seasonal openings and limited hours, so there will be towns around most holy places, but it's very simple~
We went to another famous Hindu pilgrimage holy place in India one year. There is only one way to enter the holy place. Cars can't go in. The size of the road is basically that two people can pass each other. You can hire someone to be your sedan at most. Husband ~ Four people carry a sedan chair, or ride horses into the mountain. Usually, it takes about six hours for the horse and the bearer to carry it into the mountain, and this method is already something that relatively wealthy people can do. Walking into the mountains, the Indians are very good. It takes about six to eight hours to walk into the mountains. If it is our group of meat feet, I don’t think we can’t walk in for ten hours, but the rich are always different from others. Husband, they take a helicopter! ! !
It takes 20 minutes by helicopter to arrive at the entrance of the Holy Mountain Temple ~ not bad! ! Back then, we just sat on the horse and watched the helicopter fly around, feeling the soreness between our buttocks and our legs. Later, we learned that the money for renting a horse and a helicopter is not much different! Haha~~ But good experiences usually come from deep experiences. (Cough cough.. So next time, be sure to share the interesting and good experience of riding a horse in India!)
In short, Indians usually live for a day or two before walking out. So how do they live? As long as there is flat ground in front of the Indian temple, there are tents, food and drink, and the toilet is turned around where no one is looking. , This kind of tent is definitely not as beautiful as you imagined. The taste and environment in each tent are not used by Taiwanese people. Some people even dislike it. You can see the disgust from the expression ~ but still live It is full of people. Most of the rich people go back and forth by helicopter or horseback or bearer for no more than 12 hours, because they can even have a shortcut to quickly clear customs and enter the temple to worship without queuing, but this is not the case for ordinary Indians, most of the time they are there. Line up, line up to eat, line up to enter the temple, don't underestimate this time, because he is not in Taiwan, at most 10,000 people worship, and at least three million people will come to such a holy place for pilgrimage a month. Let’s use Taipei’s Xingtian Temple to calculate, 30 days a month, 100,000 people visit Xingtian Temple a day, which means that if Xingtian Temple is open for 12 hours, 8,333 people will crowd into the Temple in that hour, and then return You have to squeeze out quickly, or you will have to set up a tent around the Xingtian Temple and live because you may not be able to squeeze in within an hour, you have to find a way to squeeze in a seat, and soon the next 8333 people will come in Now, thinking about the convenient transportation in Taipei City, everyone lives not far away. I guess the mayor of Taipei will be criticized and ousted immediately if he organizes such a pilgrimage once. From this point of view, I would like to trouble everyone to take Taiwan's 23 million yuan. The population is enlarged to India, a country full of billions of people, and then think about that kind of crowding~
Too far from the topic, I accidentally told a little about the experience of the first spiritual journey~ The story of this journey is also very rich, but it is really impossible to tell~
In a word, the same is true for Gangautrai. There are towns around, but it is a small one. You can complete a circle in about half an hour. Of course, he also has basic hotels, but I guess it should be more of a homestay type. There are more Most of them are for Hindu yogis who come to practice, so it is really simple. So the hotel we stayed in eleven years ago was already a large hotel. Just as simple as the contents. It's just that the house is bigger. ^_^
So the hotel I stayed in this time actually had water and electricity most of the time, and there was an electric water heater. When there was electricity, you could boil water to take a bath~ (I am so grateful that I want to cry!!!) The owner of the hotel is very kind to us, not only almost Let us cover the whole village, and we can choose the room unconditionally. Even every staff member in it is very nice. What we need and what they ask for, they almost do it. The room is clean and comfortable. When I was lying on the bed wrapped in a quilt and sleeping, I was really grateful from the bottom of my heart. Compared with the "hotel" eleven years ago, this place is heaven~ it's heaven! ! !
Although almost everyone slept on the bed fully armed at night, because it was too cold, but once I got to Gang Guo Chui, it was almost a world without signal. Therefore, I don’t know how many degrees it is here, but it’s really enough. cold~
No matter what ~ just like this, the next day, I fell asleep in a super invincible and grateful mood! ! !
(To be continued next Monday)
