Office Story 【Are you a boss who knows how to respect your subordinates? 】
I believe that after working hard, migrant workers hope that one day they will be promoted to be their boss or supervisor. Then ask yourself are you a qualified boss? Do you know how to respect your subordinates?
There were some small episodes in the company today that made me want to record this "wonderful" scene with an article. This morning, I heard the company's manpower "radio station" thinking incessantly: Ouch, the delivery driver is asking for leave this Friday! How do I arrange the delivery... This sentence has been playing in a loop like a tape.
This colleague is already a well-known master of road reading in the company. When her subordinate is really tired, she will spread the news to the whole company with the fastest efficiency no matter what happens in the company.
I had been dozing off a little, but the noise made me a little headache. I do get more headaches lately (the doctor says it's a side effect of serotonin reduction)
I thought it was normal to ask for leave from work, even the uncle of the delivery driver has annual leave stipulated by the labor law. Why every time he asks for leave, this female colleague reacts so violently every time that the driver does not come for a day, and the operation of the whole company will be disrupted. When an employee takes time off, work can be arranged in advance, right? Leave is not decided at the last minute!
Suddenly, a message popped up in the whatapps group on the phone, showing that the so-called boss posted the driver's uncle's annual leave application form (leave form) in our company group. There are several items that must be filled in the form, such as: Naked to be watched by everyone)
Name : first name
Date : Date of leave
Reason : Reason for leave
Department : Department
For me, these leave application forms belong to personal privacy (Private & Confidential), and the subordinates are handed over to the boss for the needs of the program, but it does not mean that you have the right to expose the subordinate's information, take leave reasons, and so on. Is this the attitude of a qualified boss towards his subordinates? I think her excessive behavior is to take pictures and upload them to the company group. She just needs to give a notice, why bother?
Another absurdity is that we have no starting salary for two years because of covid-19. In our company, senior employees usually start their salaries in December. In fact, the most avoidable problem at work is the salary problem. I believe it works the same everywhere. Personal salary must be kept secret, otherwise it will cause dissatisfaction and comparison between colleagues.
Just in May of this year, the direct subordinates of this boss received a work performance evaluation form (to prove that the boss is going to raise her salary this year). The result was the same "radio station" boss, who was promoting how my subordinates could afford the salary. She can't afford it herself! (She is an old employee, she has to wait until December, she is not ignorant) She infected the whole company with her negative energy. Most of the employees were very dissatisfied with not being able to get paid for two years. Caused a lot of gossip. For example: How can the boss be so unfair, her salary is not our salary!
This "radio station" boss made me ponder today, does every boss have the qualifications to be a boss, or is he just holding chicken feathers as an arrow?
My point is that we have to attach responsibility to who we are, our jobs. If you are a boss, you must have the appearance of your boss and do your duty well. Even the sweeping aunt should earn everyone's respect.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
