Screenwriting Exercise: The Screenwriter's Role (One-Minute Screenplay Lesson Series)
"What is the relationship between screenwriters and film production?" - Screenwriter's responsibilities Maotou screenwriter reminds: You don't have to pay the photographer, so you don't need to help him with lens design
Today, let’s talk about the screenwriter’s responsibilities. In fact, Taiwanese screenwriters generally have a lot of comments on scripts, and even do their homework as directors, actors, and photographers. How do you say that? Let’s take a look at the following picture first, which is divided into two parts. Let’s take the story of “The Tortoise and the Hare” as an example.
On the left are beginners and common situations, and on the right are methods that foreign or experienced screenwriters will write
See the difference between generality and experienced screenwriters? The common problem is that a screenwriter gets too involved
1. Actor's performance - even if the rabbit is proud, does he have to laugh? -> The actor who wants to play the rabbit can have his own interpretation
2. The photographer looks at your script and remembers that you want to close up two shots here, so should he think for himself? But you didn't give instructions to the lenses elsewhere, and suddenly the two lenses would not be consistent with what he designed?
The work of a screenwriter can be quite uncomfortable at the beginning. The teacher teaches you to write the sense of the picture, but I can't write these details?
Well, if I say that, it might make it easier for everyone to understand.
"These people are all artists, not craftsmen, just like us," so two very basic principles:
1. It is our duty to write out the plot to make the story look good (character features, dialogue, events and other story elements)
2. We have to respect other participants, because they are also artists and need a certain amount of space to play.
In a word, if you don't receive other people's salary, don't worry about it~ They are also professional.
