'This Is Pop' New Netflix Music Series That '90s Music Fans Should Love
Apple TV+ has "1971: The Year Music Changed the World", Netflix is not to be outdone and launched "This Is Pop" , which is closer in time, and people who like pop music can't miss it.
Episode 5 was about Britpop, I've been through the Britpop boom and bust, the first Britpop record I bought was really on the Oasis "Definitely Maybe" craze, and I had no hesitation in joining the Oasis camp during the civil war with Blur, because Although I have bought the first three Blur, rock music is still my nature. I also lost interest in Oasis and Britpop in general with "Be Here Now", and I probably haven't heard it a few times, but I remember when I first listened to it I felt "nothing new" and then my interest changed. Xian Yitou turned to the European metal industry. It took many years before I realized that Britpop had been on the decline since then. Maybe British music fans felt the same way as I did at the time.
The other episodes of "This Is Pop" like Autotune, country pop, and festivals are all pretty good, filling up a lot of stuff I missed. This 8-episode mini-series doesn't look stressful, which is fine.
