Leuven Life | Belgian Social Integration Course

When I came to Europe, I realized that it is very important to take the initiative to understand~

When I went to the Cultural Integration Office with @JimJKC to sign a contract with a personal counselor at the beginning of this year, I found that there are many languages to choose from. Because my English is not very good, and in order to obtain more comprehensive information, JIM is in English. The course, I am taking a Chinese course.
It was a risk that we made this decision at the time, because the teacher of the English class was a single Belgian. His perspective and teaching information were narrated from the local people's point of view. The teaching method was mainly discussion, and the materials were written in the google classroom. The way of assignments confirms the status of students' learning. And my Chinese teacher is a Chinese who has been married to a Belgian, immigrated for 30 years and has three children, so I approach it from the perspective of a foreigner. Regarding all the systems, habits and cultures that are different from those in Taiwan and the mainland, It will explain and help us understand and integrate here in all aspects.

*
Completion of the social integration course and language level 1.2 will result in a certificate of civic integration.

After getting annex15, you can go to CLT to sign up for language courses, but you need to get an ID card to sign the contract of the Citizen Integration Program. You can apply for subsidies for language courses after the start of the contract. If you sign up for language courses before the start of the contract, you cannot apply for a refund.

I have been on the course for three weeks now, and I feel that the course is very fulfilling. I found that all contracts, whether it is a work contract, an insurance contract or a rental contract, are very important. If you don't read the contract clearly, you will easily miss what you deserve. The benefits will be described one by one in subsequent articles.

There are 15 people in my class, and everyone lives here for different reasons, but half of them come to Belgium because their husband works here. The most special thing is that five of my classmates are middle-aged people, they are all Chinese, and it happens that my teacher is also a middle-aged person in China. So when I listen to them excitedly discussing various current affairs, my ears will be super sore. XD Every time I go to this part, I need to adjust the volume to 20%, otherwise I will want to close the meeting. 🤣

One of them has an aunt whose background is a little weak. Every time she is in class, she asks the teacher for 5 minutes because she can't use a computer, the network is unstable, or she doesn't know how to use gmail to receive emails and other very basic questions. The teacher explained that she was about to get angry and asked her to go to a personal counselor to solve the problem. Then she told the teacher next time that she didn’t have time to deal with it, so she didn’t go. As a result, she asked the teacher again with the same question and asked the teacher to tolerate her.

I used to think that poor people must have something to hate is a bit too much, but when I see that some people face their own problems with a perfunctory attitude and ask others to tolerate them unconditionally, this sentence keeps popping up in me. in mind.

Ugh

I feel that everyone has their own helplessness, but if you can't even cherish the opportunity in front of you, how can you blame others.

I wish all those who work hard overseas to be able to work hard in the place of their choice and love. 👍
