The overbearing general tiger is coming to pay New Year's greetings, congratulations and congratulations on the red envelopes!

This year's painting is a tiger, a domineering tiger.

The annual leave is over, the Chinese New Year is over, and many people are starting to work, right? Looking back on this, I planned to paint a tiger painting to greet you all before the Chinese New Year, but because a lot of things happened in the middle, so I delayed it again and again, and it was not completed until now, and I began to worry about whether I could do anything about it. Post this article.

Even so, I still want to share the paintings of this year's Chinese New Year. After all, I have painted them, so I will share them.

This year's painting is a tiger, a domineering tiger.

🐯 Overbearing total tiger, a cat to sell cute

In this painting, the protagonist is a "tiger", and I call him the " overbearing total tiger " for no reason. I just thought of the word " overbearing president ", and I wanted to combine the two.

The picture above is a Chinese New Year painting. The whole picture is designed as a Spring Festival couplet, but since the New Year is over, it is not going to be printed, so it is designed in a square shape.

The concept of the whole picture is to draw: "A picture of a domineering tiger giving out red envelopes or asking for red envelopes."

Let's talk about tigers first. At first, I just wanted to draw a tiger, so I drew a tiger in another picture before transplanting it to the Spring Festival couplets. The tiger's design, the initial idea was to draw a "realistic version", but after practicing it myself, it really doesn't work at all, it's ugly! So it became what I see now! The combination of the action and expression of the hands crossed makes the tiger look more dignified, so it also looks more domineering, should it be?

Let's talk about the background. Around the Spring Festival couplet, after referring to some pictures on the Internet, I felt that the gold frame seemed to look good, so I designed it like this. And if there are only tigers, it seems too monotonous, so the words "2022" are added to indicate that it is 2022. Then the words at the top of the screen are to incorporate "the sound of the New Year", so "Congratulations, congratulations, red envelopes" are added. Of course, there is also the final tiger name "Overbearing Total Tiger".

The above is the general idea and introduction of this work.

🎨 Chinese New Year painting, easy painting process

The pictures of this festival are quite simple, but it took nearly three hours before and after, and I don't know what I'm doing? To be honest, it should have been a long time to think about the inspiration at the beginning, and I was not very satisfied with the relationship that the works I painted were constantly changing, so it took so long.

Next, we will decompose each step and briefly share the painting process:

  • 📌The first step is to use a symmetrical tool to draw the outline of the tiger's body. (Because it was not captured before, it was redrawn with a slight difference.)

  • 📌The second step is to distinguish and draw the color blocks of different parts of the tiger. (The face and outside of the body are orange, and the chest, abdomen, and eyes are white.)

  • 📌The third step is to draw the hands and expressions first. (It looks a bit like a panda when I draw it here.)

  • 📌The fourth step, draw the black pattern of the tiger and change the expression. After that, I made some adjustments to the color of the whole picture to deepen the orange color of the tiger.

  • 📌The fifth step, move the tiger to the red background, add a border pattern, and add words such as "2022" and "Overbearing Tiger" and you are done. That's right, I skipped some steps here, and talked them all together (laughs). In short, it was just like in the picture. (Additionally, I have redrawn the texture of the tiger with a more suitable brush.)

🧨 Congratulations on the red envelopes, congratulations for the New Year

The "voice" I want to express in this painting relay is: "Congratulations, congratulations, bring the red envelopes!"

" Congratulations, congratulations, bring the red envelopes ." In my impression, it is a congratulatory speech that will be said during the New Year. Although it is said that it is rarely spoken now, and I don't care about this custom, I still have a deep impression on this sentence.

This sentence seems to be a polite remark, a short congratulation, but I often feel that the truth behind his back is this: " I really don't want to listen to the elders asking questions, I only care if I get the red envelope (laughs) . "

There seems to be a very familiar song related to this saying:

"Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!

In short, no matter what the purpose is to say "Congratulations, congratulations, here's the red envelope!", at least it's congratulations. Anyway, everyone is polite and polite. Who knows what the other party really wants to express? (laughs) But polite words also have their reasons, such as preventing embarrassment, or as a communication lubricant. (How come you suddenly talk about this XDDDD.)

In fact, this article began to be edited before the Chinese New Year. I originally wanted to use it as a gift NFT for a small New Year event, but later because something happened in my life, I gave up the idea of holding an event, and I have completed half of the article until now. It's still dusting in my draft, as if it should be destroyed better?

In addition, when the drawing is about to be completed, it actually looks like it needs to be redrawn. The reason is simple, I think it is too ugly . Later, I watched a lot of teaching videos and articles, but in the end I couldn't draw any great works (there were some that met my standards). Because I didn't have the energy to re-draw it, I finally sent it out.

Speaking of which, when I first drew a tiger, I only thought that I had to draw a tiger, but I didn't take the "sound" into consideration, so it felt a little weird. I wonder if @Carol.W is qualified?

All in all, although the process is a bit " bumpy ", it can be regarded as another festive picture and can finally be put down. If anyone wants to receive this Chinese New Year picture, please leave your little fox wallet address, and also politely wish everyone: "Happy New Year! Congratulations, congratulations, bring the red envelope!"
