It's hard to teach me not to think about it | Intuitive Zoo Design

Design the environment from the perspective of the occupants, and human beings also enjoy it

northernmost zoo

Hokkaido is my favorite place to travel, except for the rainbow landscape covered with lavender flowers, the novel load-bearing horse racing, the green algae ice cream that I tried for the first time... The most important thing is the first time the whole family takes my mother-in-law on a self-driving trip, and the elderly are also happy Among them, she looked at the photo taken many years ago and said: Although my grandson is three years younger (than my sister), she is already taller than her sister in the sixth grade, and we are all chased by children to old age.

Recently I heard a friend mention that Hokkaido has the northernmost and most popular Asahiyama Zoo in Japan, where there are three kings of polar bears, penguins and seals. I'm curious about the three common cold animals, what's so special? It turns out that the Asahiyama Zoo was infected with parasites in 1994, and many animals died as a result, resulting in a great decrease in the number of people entering the park, and the staff's morale was also low. With polar bears wandering around the pool, the gardener thought: how to attract people to return? How do people see animals? What kind of living environment should animals live in?

who is the protagonist

After intuitive associative induction: the protagonist of the zoo is the animals living in the park, which should provide a space close to the original environment; human beings are restricted bystanders, and the park design interesting observation experience. Therefore, polar bears should live in ice caves and design transparent glass to facilitate observation; penguins live in groups and design parade routes; seals are very agile swimmers, and tubular waterways are designed to increase fun. As a result, animals have new living environments (as shown in the attached photo), and we can observe them more closely.

I hope that the epidemic will end as soon as possible and return to normal life. In addition to the unfinished icebreaker trip to Hokkaido, I will also visit the Asahiyama Zoo, which is a "peeping leopard in the tube".
