New Zealand | Nelson | Wandering in the bleak yet vibrant urban area of Nelson

(edited)

The first time I traveled to Nelson in the South Island, I wanted to go to the century-old Nelson Cathedral, but I encountered a funeral in the church that day, so I had to go to this church next time.

However, it is rare to come here. It is still necessary to take a photo of the exterior of the church and appreciate this grand building.

As winter turns to spring, pink flowers are blooming behind the church.

There is no way to enter the church to visit, just go to the Nelson downtown area in front of the church! Because of the relationship on weekdays, there are very few cars and people on the road.

There is a European-style street lamp in front of you, and there is a small fountain below.

There are four lion heads engraved on it, and water flows out from each side. I wonder if the water that flows out can be drunk directly?

Looking back at the church just now, there is a white cross.

There are many restaurants and bars on both sides of this road. It must be a lively place at night. You can also see such icons on the buildings.

The architectural design on both sides is my favorite architectural style.

Nelson's sidewalks are mostly in this style, with storefronts, bank signs on the ceiling, etc. It always feels like a return to Napier .

At the intersection of Hardy St. and Trafalgar St., there is the Nelson Provincial Museum. There are often large and small exhibitions. If you have the opportunity to encounter exhibitions, you can visit here.

Walking on Hardy St., I personally feel that this bar is more special. Although I have never walked into it, I like the outdoor dining area and building logo very much.

Diagonally opposite the bar, there is another bar with a Heineken sign. This bar building is also very special. I like the feeling of shooting this scene.

On the other hand, I would like to introduce this Thai food truck, Thai Foods, which specializes in selling authentic Thai food. The proprietress is from Thailand and uses his skills to cook delicious Thai food. Welcome everyone to have the opportunity to taste it. Roadside food. (This store can't find the landmark on Google Map, it's right next to the post office/ Map )

There is also the Morrison Square shopping district, Shop, Dine, Enjoy, in a district nearby. You are welcome to come here for shopping.

In the end, it should be the highlight. It is located at the corner of Halifax St E and Trafalgar St. This building is the Nelson City Council, the government agency of Nelson Nelson. Although I think the building is not big, in particular, the clock above will be on the hour. When ~ Oh!
