Perth Diary 458th, life abroad is not perfect

(edited)
Recently, a friend came to me to complain about the loneliness of life in Australia and wanted to return to China. There are also friends who came to Australia for a desperate visa and were rejected, and they don't know how to go next.

In fact, the most commonly heard sentence in China is that the moon abroad is not rounder than the moon in China.

In fact, if you want to say whether it is round or not, it depends on what aspect it is.

In terms of social security benefits, life benefits after old age, and education subsidies for children, it is indeed more round than in China.

But I have to say: people have joys and sorrows, and the moon has cloudy and sunny waxes and wanes. Indeed, no matter where you go, you have to face life, old age, sickness and death, depression, loneliness, work, enthusiasm for life, and passion for life. In terms of meaning, it is the same no matter where you are.

A messy job in China will not immediately become happy just because you change the environment, but a relatively fair environment will definitely reduce your chances of complaining.

Today a friend came to chat with me. He just graduated from whv university and wanted to go back to China, because life here is a work package sandwich, and he returns to the sharing room alone after get off work, surrounded by loneliness and homesick.

Such a state must be the status quo of many people, and even most of the people who have obtained the status must also be in this state of life.

If you are engaged in a job that you don't like, can't find enough meaning in life, can't find enthusiasm for work, and repeat the same job every day, it will be the life of most people in this world state. The most is: living in a relatively fair social environment, there are fewer uncontrollable factors given by the outside world and beyond your control, and more space and time that you can use to enjoy life, but what you use it for specifically, It's totally up to the individual.

If obtaining the status is happiness, then I think there will be no unhappy people in Australia. Judging from the Australians I have been in close contact with and are taking care of, everyone is fair in the pursuit of happiness in life.

Otherwise, those western philosophies should not be suitable for us who grew up in eastern culture.

Recently, I have also studied some traditional oriental cultural sects. In fact, many places also belong to the content category of philosophy. The thinking about life and the exploration of human nature are completely interlinked.

The pursuit of happiness is nothing more than having the courage to overcome one's weaknesses, having the courage to say 'no' to a career you don't like, and having the courage to face the unknown and start again. Well, yes, courage is the key to the pursuit of happiness.

A few days ago, I posted a status in my circle of friends: accept all unchangeable realities, actively improve the only and remaining ones that are still in my hands, and wait patiently for life to improve.

A friend left a message, in case it has been bad.

It must be that there is no positive change, and you have the courage to change your known defects. With such courage, how can you be trapped in an unfree land? With such courage, how can you be incapable of pursuing independence? Your own freedom, happiness and joy.

When it comes to getting an identity, I particularly hate one word: going ashore. After more than a year of observation in Australia, it is true that the welfare here is more secure, the environment is freer and more humane, but there are too many Australians who are unhappy in their lives. Life is not struggling, and being in the water is not necessarily struggling to drown.

But if you have the ability to learn, no matter where you are, you will never drown.

All misfortunes must have their reasons and intentions. To defeat you, or help you become better, change your thinking angle, and you can change from self-pity to growth and change.
