Epidemic Miscellaneous

At the end of February, a friend of mine in China wrote me a long letter, recording her observations on life during the epidemic. She popularized the new word "hard core" to me. She mentioned that in this epidemic prevention campaign, the hard part is the outer shell, but the inner management is very weak.

I haven't paid much attention to the epidemic since then. Everyday work and children, plus trivial household chores have overwhelmed me. So I was very interested in her observation at the time, but held a bystander attitude.

Now my state and most of the US have also adopted a Stay home policy. I often think about my friend's question, but one is not allowed, what about the rest?

Stay home is important, but since the implementation, friends around me have lost their jobs one after another, and many of them have children to support. My daughter's nursery closed and the principal fired the teachers so they could get unemployment benefits.

The welfare system in the United States is not ideal, and it is unknown how long the economic downturn brought about by this epidemic will last. In the families under the stay home policy, how many people are frowning, not knowing what will happen tomorrow?

In this massive epidemic prevention campaign, the most vulnerable are the economically vulnerable classes.

What to do after Stay home? I just feel gloomy and gloomy.
