Taste of Life|Smelly Di (13) Today I want to have some Cuiyu cabbage and Dongpo pork

In 2014, there was an important news in the cultural world. The Palace Museum was going to lend a national treasure to Japan for an exhibition. At that time, the newspaper published a front-page headline. From emerald cabbage, meat-shaped stone, and I talked about the origin and origin of Qingming Festival. The Three Great Books of the World.

"Adi, have you read the headlines in today's newspaper. It has our national treasure, jade cabbage. Now it's flying to Japan for an exhibition. Dad went to the Forbidden City to see it when he was a child, and there are meat-shaped stones." I picked it up early in the morning. The newspaper, seeing Dou Da's front page headline, asked Smelly Di.

"Don't call me Adi, I watch the sports edition." Smelly Di replied.

"Let's see the headlines, do you know that there are two insects on the jade cabbage? Do you know which two insects are?"

"I don't know, is it a tiger?" Smelly Di picked up the newspaper, took a closer look, and said.

"Come on, tiger and cabbage are not proportional at all. Have you ever seen a tiger lying on a cabbage? It's an insect, and the answer is in the newspaper, you can find it yourself."

"Yes, I see, it's katydids and locusts."

"Then why engrave these two insects?"

"What's written in the newspapers means "many children and grandchildren"! Huh... Why is there an introduction to "Cold Food Post" next to it." Smelly Di began to change the subject.

"Cold Food Posts" by Su Shi https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%AF%92%E9%A3%9F%E5%B8%96

"Oh, do you know who wrote "Han Shi Tie"?" I took this opportunity to ask Smelly Di.

"Su Shi of the Northern Song Dynasty."

"Then why is it called cold food, not hot food, cold food, and cold food?"

"Because when Su Shi wrote "Han Shi Tie", it happened to be the Cold Food Festival!" (Smelly Di may be thinking, asking such a simple question.)

"But why is there a Cold Food Festival? Who is it related to?"

"It has something to do with Jie Zhisui."

"why?"

Smelly Di looked at the newspaper seriously and read:

"Because the "Cold Food Festival" is to commemorate Jie Zhitui, who is loyal and patriotic. Jie Zhitui was a sage of Jin during the Spring and Autumn Period (722-481 BC). At that time, there was civil strife in Jin, and the son Chong'er was forced to exile abroad.

Jie Zhitui and several other loyal ministers and sages followed Chong'er faithfully and spent more than ten years traveling around the world. Later, Chong'er returned to Jin and became Duke Weng of Jin. Those who followed him received many rewards and became high officials, but Duke Wen of Jin neglected Jie Zhitui and gave him nothing. Jie Zhitui was not in a hurry, and went to Mianshan alone with his mother.

Duke Wen of Jin remembered later, and wanted to find Jie Zhitui to help with state affairs, but Jie Zhitui did not intend to come out again to participate in political affairs. Duke Wen of Jin was confused for a while, so he ordered the mountain to be set on fire, trying to force him to come out. Unexpectedly, Jie Zhitui and his mother were burned to death in the mountains. Duke Wen of Jin was very sad, so he stipulated that no fire should be allowed on this day, and named it "Han Shi" to commemorate Jie Zhitui.

Fire is not allowed during the Cold Food Festival, so everyone can only eat some raw and cold things. Some people cook some porridge, snacks or cooked food a day or two before and eat them on the day of the Cold Food Festival. This is the origin of Qingming Festival. "

The introduction is quite detailed, yes, I continued to ask, "Then why did Jie Zhitui retire to the mountain?"

"Because the emperor provoked him!"

"Hey, at that time, no one dared to say that the emperor provoked him, aren't you afraid of losing your head?"

"It's like you said that Ma Ying-jeou provoked you, you dare to say it!" Smelly Di's mother who was reading the comprehensive version of the newspaper suddenly helped. (But why does this sentence sound weird 🤔)

"Okay, then why did Su Shi write this "Cold Food Post"? Under what background, do you know?" I asked Smelly Di.

"I know, Su Shi has been demoted by the emperor all the time. He was demoted to Huangzhou to become a minor official. Since ancient times, people who have been demoted must have been transferred to remote areas. It can be seen that Huangzhou should be a very desolate place, so I'm not happy, so I wrote "Cold Food Posts"."

"Yeah, that's right. How do you know?"

"Written in the newspaper."

"Oh~ the newspapers have leaked the title!"

"Then do you know why Su Shi was banished to Huangzhou by the emperor? Otherwise, Su Shi is a great writer, and his father's favorite song of water tunes was written by him, a thousand years ago, plus The composition of Shang Liang Hongzhi and the singing of Teresa Teng have formed a wonderful and good song for thousands of years, it is a perfect match, it is a perfect match." I said to myself.

Lyricist: Su Shi Composer: Liang Hongzhi Vocal: Teresa Teng

"By the way, you haven't explained why Su Shi was sent to the frontier like Su Wu, but Su Shi didn't go to herd the sheep?
Huh...they are both surnamed Su, isn't it related? "Suddenly remembering that the two of them are both surnamed Su, I took a brain teaser and asked Smelly Di this question. (Scientific popularization, Su Shi is a descendant of the Su Wu brothers in the Han Dynasty.)

"do not know!"

"It's really thanks to my dad who bought the book devoted to the life of Su Shi, you haven't read it. Su Dongpo was too self-righteous back then, although he was a great writer, but after reading the then prime minister Wang Anshi's article "The Psalm" "Chrysanthemum", Wang Anshi only wrote the first two sentences, Su Dongpo felt dissatisfied when he saw it, so he added the last two sentences without permission. So Wang Anshi complained to the emperor, and Su Shi was banished to Huangzhou."

"Also, Su Shi also offended many villains around the emperor." Smelly Dima, who was reading the newspaper and was drinking tea, replied again.

"Some of the famous people around the emperor made small reports every once in a while. Now it's unpleasant to change to the emperor, but he is reluctant to kill him, so he has to be transferred to the border area again." I continued.

"It may be unfortunate for Su Shi, but it makes us modern people (in fact, every generation will say that they are modern people!) It is fortunate to be able to appreciate a lot of Su Shi's works, that is, under such an environment and state of mind It inspired a lot of wonderful words.”

"Since "Han Shi Tie" is mentioned, and "Han Shi Tie" is one of the three major running scripts, do you know what the other two works are? Who made them?"

"One is Wang Xizhi's "Orchid Pavilion Collection"."

"Orchid Pavilion Preface" Shenlong Bentian's first running book / Wang Xizhi https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E8%98%AD%E4%BA%AD%E9%9B%86%E5%BA%8F

"Well, yes, what about one more?"

"I don't know, suggest a word." Smelly Di was going to play the guessing game again.

"The author's last name is the same as that of a mentor who taught you."

"Chen? Zhao? Thank you?"

"Neither right."

"Can't guess."

"It's Yan Zhenqing, but...which work?"

"One more word!" Smelly Di asked, rubbing his head again.

"The first word is "sacrifice", the sacrifice of sacrifice."

"I don't know, one more word."

"There's no such thing, it's just four words in total, and I'll tell you half of it if I'm reminded."

"The answer has been revealed. It is the "Manuscript for Sacrifice to Nephew", which is known as the second most popular script in the world." I said the answer directly.

"Manuscript of Sacrifice to Nephew", the second running script in the world / Yan Zhenqing https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A5%AD%E5%A7%AA%E6%96%87%E7%A8%BF

The three major scriptures, except Wang Xizhi's "Orchid Pavilion Collection", were written in a drunken state at a party where they were drinking and reciting poems. The "Cold Food Post" was written by Su Shi when he was exiled to Huangzhou; "The Manuscript of Sacrifice to Nephew" was written by Yan Zhenqing in grief for his concubine Yan Jiming, who was unfortunately beheaded by the rebels.

A good work does not only look at the skill of calligraphy, but also pays attention to expressing the mood at the moment and vividly on the paper, imprinting the mood on the paper through the change of brush and ink, and adding the author's own story, personality and personality to complete it. A great work of art from time immemorial.

This morning, the national treasure loan incident mentioned in the headlines of the newspaper, the story extended from the content of "Cold Food Post", and the back and forth conversations with Smelly Di.
