Fenghua Xikou: The Hometown of President Chiang

Xikou, Fenghua, Zhejiang is a city under Ningbo City. The hometown of the two presidents Jiang reminds me of what I read when I was a child: the story of the former president Jiang Gong when he was young. I also talked about this story with my friends in the mainland, and obviously I have never heard of it.

Jiang Gong built a small villa for Song Meiling: Wen Changge

Ningbo is the second largest city in Zhejiang Province, about 230 kilometers away from Shanghai, and it takes 2.5 hours to get there by high-speed rail. You can also drive a 3.5-hour drive through the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. To be honest, a 3.5-hour drive is really not that long in mainland China.

A little episode before coming to Fenghua: I just wanted to escape from my job in Shanghai at first, bought a high-speed rail ticket in Ningbo, casually thought of this city I had only seen on a map of Taipei, and walked to Fenghua by accident, there was no traffic jam all the way. , did not spend time waiting for the bus, as if everything was meant to be.

In addition to the former residences of the two Chiangs, there is also the famous Buddhist mountain Xuedou Mountain. Xuedou Mountain and Jiang Gong have a deep relationship. Whether it is going down the field, or the Northern Expedition, or meeting with dignitaries after taking power, this famous mountain has participated in witnessing, and the scenic spot will remain there. There are many figures of Jiang Gong.

Transportation: After getting off at Ningbo Station, go straight to the South Square of the train, find the No. 6 bus shelter and wait for the 988 bus to Xikou. The bus takes about 15 to 20 minutes, lasts 2 hours, costs 5 yuan, and gets off at Yinfeng Square, the next stop before the end. If you want to go to Xuedou Mountain, you should take it to the end. Because Xikou Village is 45 kilometers away from Ningbo Station, it is expensive to call a taxi, so it is not recommended to do so, except for local tyrants.

The combined ticket of Xuedou Mountain and Jiang's Former Residence is 210 yuan, including the ticket of Jiang's former residence, the entrance ticket of Xuedou Mountain scenic spot, and the shuttle bus ticket to the scenic spot of Xuedou Mountain. The combination of tickets and shuttle bus is very common in the mainland, so some people (including me, of course) will ask: I have long legs, I just want to climb mountains, and I don’t want you to earn that kind of shuttle bus. The answer is: sorry no, this is forced consumption. It may be the reason that one yard is one yard, and must be collected separately: tickets belong to the government, and shuttle buses belong to local welfare. This is also a special way to make money.

Xikou Town and Daxi Cihu Lake in Taoyuan are really too similar, especially the scenery facing the Yanjiang River on Wuling West Road in Xikou Town is exactly the same as the scenery of Daxi Cihu Lake. No wonder Jiang Gong chooses to stay in Taiwan when he arrives in Taiwan. Daxi Building Hotel, and often vacations here, even if the coffin is placed here, waiting for the opportunity to be transported back to the countryside for burial.

In my impression, Xikou Village is very similar to Cihu in Daxi.

Jiang's scenic spots are scattered on Wuling West Road, including: Wuling Gate, Wenchang Pavilion, Fengxuanfang, Jiang's Ancestral Hall, and the Yutai Salt Shop of Jiang's father's father: Qinglu, Jiang's tomb.

Wuling Gate: The plaque inscribed by Jiang Gong is also the original city gate that Jiang Gong gave back to the village.

Chiang Ching-kuo's own topic of washing blood with blood: Missing Mrs. Mao Tai who died due to the Japanese bombing
The Tomb of Jiang's Mother: The Tomb of Jiang Gong's Mother
Wuling Middle School: The school founded by Jiang Gong, giving back to the village

The exterior of the building can be presented to us in its original appearance under the renovation of the government. The interior of the building has been turbulent in China's modern history: after the Anti-Japanese War, the baptism of the new China, the units moved in and moved out, and can no longer be seen again; however, Jiang's family temple Still, every year the descendants of the Jiang family return to their hometowns to worship their ancestors, and Taiwanese politician Jiang Xiaoyan also came back.

Originally, I was looking forward to visiting Jiang Gong's former residence, but I couldn't hide my disappointment after walking through it. If it wasn't for a package of 210 yuan, a simple visit would cost 120 yuan, which is a little too expensive. The old house, but the story of the old house and the taste, if these factors can be considered for restoration, then this scenic spot will be very charming.
