Brihaspati Dev Aarti Lyrics

Brihaspati Dev Aarti Lyrics

In Hindu mythology, every single day of the week is dedicated to a particular deity or celestial body. The divine text "Muhurta Shastra" dedicates the day of Thursday to Lord Brihaspati who is the guru of all the gods and the representative of the biggest and fiery planet Jupiter. Hindus fast on this day to worship Lord Brihaspati to get his blessings.

From the point of view of astrology, the planet Jupiter is the teacher of the science of light, which is astrology and astronomy. This supreme planet (among the Navagrahas) is directly associated with the principles of growth, success, healing, vision, intellectual, knowledge, spirituality, possibilities, prosperity, financial stability, good luck and miracles.

Many devotees of Hinduism observe Guruvar fast to please Lord Brihaspati with the belief that he is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. After fasting, people also recite Brihaspativar Vrat Katha (Thursday fasting story) on this day.

After Brihaspativar Vrat Katha (Thursday fasting story), one should do Brihaspati Dev Aarti (Jupiter's aarti) .
