Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat Katha In Hindi (Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat Katha) 1

Once Lord Shankar and Mata Parvati were sitting near the river Narmada. There Goddess Parvati asked Lord Bholenath to play Chopad to pass the time. Lord Shankar got ready to play Chopad. But who will decide whether to win or lose in this game?

The question arose, in response to this, Lord Bholenath collected some straws and made an effigy of it, consecrated the life of that effigy and told the effigy that son, we want to play chaupad. But there is no one to decide our victory or defeat. That's why you tell who among us lost and who won.

After saying this, the game of Chopad started. The game was played thrice and by chance Parvati ji won all three times. At the end of the game, the boy was asked to decide whether to win or lose, then the boy told Mahadev the winner. Hearing this, Mother Parvati became furious. And in anger, he cursed the child to be lame and lie in the mud. The child apologized to the mother and said that I did this out of ignorance, I did not do this out of any malice. On asking for forgiveness from the child, the mother said that the snake girls will come here to worship Ganesha, according to them, you fast on Ganesha, by doing this you will get me, saying this, the mother went to Mount Kailash with Lord Shiva.

After a year, Nag girls came to that place. After knowing the method of fasting of Shri Ganesha from the snake girls, that child observed Ganesha's fast for 21 days continuously. Seeing his reverence, Ganesh ji was pleased. And Shri Ganesh asked the boy to ask for the desired fruit. The boy said that, O Vinayak, give me so much strength, that I can walk on my feet and reach Mount Kailash with my parents and they should be happy to see this.

Give this boon to the child, Shri Ganesh disappeared. After this the child reached Mount Kailash. And he narrated the story of his reaching Kailash mountain to Lord Mahadev. From that day onwards Parvati turned away from Shiva. When the goddess became angry, Lord Shankar also observed the fast of Shri Ganesha for 21 days as told by the child. Due to this effect, the displeasure that the mother had for Lord Bholenath ended by itself.

The desire to meet Mahadevji awakened in Parvati ji's mind. They soon reached Mount Kailash. Upon reaching there Parvati asked Shiva- Lord! What such remedy did you take, as a result of which I have come in a rush to you? Shivji told him the history of 'Ganesh Vrat'.

Lord Shankar told this fasting method to Mother Parvati. Hearing this, the desire of Mother Parvati to meet her son Kartikeya also awakened in her mind. Mother also fasted Shri Ganesh for 21 days and worshiped Shri Ganesh ji with Durva, flowers and laddoos. On the 21st day of the fast, Kartikeya himself should meet Parvati. Kartikeya told this fast to Vishwamitraji. Vishwamitra fasted and asked Ganesha for the boon of being free from birth and becoming a 'Brahma-rishi'. Ganeshji fulfilled his wish. Thus, Shri Ganeshji Chaturthi Vrat is also called Manokamna Vrat. By observing this fast, everyone's wishes are fulfilled.

Lord Ganesha is very pleased by worshiping in this way and fulfills every wish of his devotees.

Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat Katha In Hindi (Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat Katha) 2

At one time, preparations were going on for the marriage of Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi, in which all the gods were invited but the invitation was not sent to Ganesha, the obstacle. All the gods came to the marriage with their wives, but seeing that Ganesh ji was not present, the gods asked Lord Vishnu the reason for this.

He has sent an invitation to Lord Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha can come with his parents if he wants to. However, they need half a mind of moong, half a mind of rice, half a mind of ghee and half a mind of laddus throughout the day. It's good if they don't come. It doesn't feel good to go to someone else's house to eat and drink so much.

During this, some deity said that if Ganesh ji comes, he can be given the responsibility of looking after the house. They can be told that if you go slowly on the mouse, then the barrage will go ahead and you will be left behind, so take care of the house. As per the plan, Ganesh ji appeared there on the invitation of Vishnu ji.

He was given the responsibility of taking care of the house. The procession left the house and seeing that Ganesh ji was sitting at the door, Narad ji asked the reason for this and he said that Lord Vishnu has insulted him. Then Narad ji gave a suggestion to Ganesh ji.

Ganapati sent his army of rats in front of the procession as a suggestion, which dug all the way. As a result, the wheels of the chariots of the gods got stuck in the way. The procession was not going ahead. No one was able to understand what to do, then Narad ji gave a solution to call Ganesh ji so that the obstacles of the gods would be removed. Nandi brought Gajanan on the orders of Lord Shiva. The gods worshiped Ganesh ji, then the wheels of the chariot came out of the pits, but many wheels were broken.

At that time a blacksmith was working nearby, he was called. Before starting his work, he remembered Ganesh ji in his mind and fixed the wheels of all the chariots. He told the deities that it seems that all of you have not worshiped Ganesh ji before starting auspicious work, only then such a crisis has come.

All of you go ahead after meditating on Ganesh ji, all your work will be done. The gods hailed Ganesh ji and the procession reached its destination safely. The marriage of Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi was completed.
