At times, they also use Buddhism to solve their problems, so the extraordinary merits of Buddhism are incredible, and the existence of ghosts and gods is also real. 【How to interpret the message from the underworld】

"Book of Jin", one of the twenty-four histories of China, records that a scholar named Ruan Zhan, although he was full of poetry and books, did not believe in the existence of ghosts. In the middle of the night, a gentle guest came to visit Ruan Zhan. This person was very eloquent, and the two chatted happily. They slowly talked about the topic of "do ghosts exist?" Ruan Zhan looked unbelievable. With an expression, he said, "Humph! I just don't believe in ghosts. How can Xiongtai be as superstitious as some villagers and fishermen?"

The guest repeatedly gave examples, and tactfully told Ruan Zhan to believe that there are real beings in the realm of ghosts. No matter what the guest said, Ruan Zhan still refused to believe it and said, "In short, I would never believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes." He changed his face and said, "Since ancient times, many sages and sages have believed in the existence of ghosts, but you don't believe it! I tell you, I am a ghost!" After saying this, he turned and turned into a ferocious ghost. Ruan Zhan was really frightened. As a result, he got sick and died in less than a year.

Those who study Buddhism and practice must deeply believe in the truth that "the cause and the fruit exist, and reincarnation is not empty", and understand the reality and causes of the six realms of reincarnation. After death, a person does not necessarily become a ghost, but decides to be reborn in that realm according to the good and bad karma he created during his lifetime. Generally speaking, people have a higher chance of being reborn in a ghost realm after death, which is why we worship our ancestors. In addition to remembering ancestor virtues, it also has substantial meaning.

The "Ksitigarbha Sutra" records: the merits of chanting for ghosts, the living can get six-sevenths, and the dead can only get one-seventh. Therefore, we should take advantage of the time when we are strong and healthy to accumulate more merits for ourselves and do good deeds widely, lest it is too late to wait for our relatives to pass over for us after death.

If our close relatives did not learn Buddhism and practice and accumulate merits and blessings, after death, they would naturally hope that their living relatives would do merits for themselves and change their plight. Therefore, when many people encounter difficulties in work and family, when they turn to the gods for help, the gods usually indicate that it is "an ancestor's problem".

The ancestors' realm is not good and they need help. They can only ask relatives who are related by blood, or those who have grievances. On weekdays, if we can do meritorious deeds in the name of our ancestors who died, or recite sutras on weekdays, it will be of great help to them.
