My Writing Space: The Superstition of Luck

In my previous article on remote work , I mentioned that I have a list of "offices" in my head, including the university library, a quiet coffee shop, and a meeting area for a friend's company.

The list may seem rational, but the specific decision on where to work today is based on a superstition of luck . Don't laugh at me. Even as an author who writes about science and technology, it is inevitable that there is a side that does not pay attention to science😄

In pursuit of peak performance

Every week I write 3 blockchain-related articles, and most of my readers are long-term paid subscriptions. How to keep readers' content fresh is a problem for every creator, especially paid subscription content. As Lin Yusheng said:

A talk show or drama that you pay to watch requires constant effort to break through to make it feel worthwhile. Not to mention the monthly content, I found your subscription interesting and fun at first, but after three months of subscribing, the fun will definitely decline. Creators can't maintain the same level because the content gets bored and tired. On the other hand, for the support of a creator, readers are curious for one month, like it for three months, and if they do not become true love in half a year, they will almost break up.

Every article should be novel, interesting and practical. Does it seem stressful (laughs) I used to think so, but after writing for a while, I found something a little strange.

As long as you are in a good mood when you are working, you can naturally talk about things interestingly, and even come up with some new insights. On the contrary, sitting in the position for a long time (even buying a lift table to stand) will not be able to write anything interesting, and even make interesting things boring 🥱

After discovering this, I now rely on my feelings every day to decide where to work.

superstition of luck

As long as I write smoothly in the library this time, I will want to "copy success" in the next few days and write at that location in the library.

Not only the location has an impact, but also which coffee I drink, the means of transportation for commuting and the style of clothing that day have all become one of the factors that affect my "luck".

Pushing back from the results, with any luck, everywhere is my writing space. If you're unlucky, grab a cup of coffee and "move around" somewhere else. If it doesn't work, running is my restart button 😆
