MetaMask adds other currencies (example with CFO)

The previous article introduced how to add other chains in MetaMask wallet (Adding other chains in MetaMask [BSC Binance Chain&Polygon(Matic)] ), this article explains how to add other currencies in Fox Wallet.

The CFO is used as a demonstration here, and because the CFO is also on Polygon, I add a new CFO to Polygon as a demonstration. Some other netizens have written similar articles to add a new currency to the fox wallet ( the little fox wallet adds BUSD teaching ), but it is to add BUSD on the Binance Chain, which is very similar. 1. You need to know the contract address of the currency you want to add. Take the CFO as an example, you can find the contract address of the CFO on CoinGecko, as indicated by the red arrow in the figure below, you can press Copy to copy the contract address.

2. Log in to the MetaMask wallet. Since the CFO to be added this time is on the Matic chain of Polygon, you must first select the Matic chain above. If you have not added the Matic chain of Polygon, please refer to the article " Adding Other Chains to MetaMask [BSC Coin] Anchain&Polygon(Matic)] ", and then select "Import token" below.

Note: If you want to add a new currency, you must first understand the chain where the new currency is located. If it is not Ethereum, you must add a new chain (such as BSC Binance Chain, Polygon's Matic Chain) before adding a new currency successfully.

If the currency to be added is on Ethereum, select "Ethereum Main Network", and then select "Import token" below.

If the currency to be added is on Binance Chain, select the newly added Binance Chain, and then select "Import token" below.

3. The following window will appear, paste the currency contract you just copied in the "Token Contract Address", the token code will be displayed automatically, and then click "Add Custom Token".

4. The following window will appear, showing the number of new coins in your original wallet, click "Import Tokens to add new coins".

5. After the addition is successful, you will see the newly added currency in the wallet.
