[Music Monthly #5] February 2022 issue

The theme of the music monthly report will share the good music heard in the month in the form of once a month! This month focuses on the great songs discovered this month, and developing new music is always exciting!

JADE | Snow White

JADE is a two-person band composed of guitarist Dudu and drummer Ajie. I first heard it at the end of 2019. Their styles are very different, except for the American rock style linked to "Last Animals" in this article. , there are more different kinds of music waiting to be discovered, and their music can also be clicked on KTV! You can check it out.

JADE, who can still and can move, released a new album "Snow White" on February 25, 2022. The place that is very similar to the previous album is the all-encompassing music style. Each song has a different style and is very interesting. I recommend it here. Everyone.

My Life as Ali Thomas

You can listen to their music first, guess which band they may be from, and then read my introduction!

This is their live video this month, it looks super dreamy with a cloudy sky and a grey background, it seems like a.. quarry? When I heard My Life as Ali Thomas for the first time, I was deeply attracted by the vocals of the lead singers. Their musical style is very unique. I always felt as if I was sucked into the place they wanted to take us. The place is deeply inhaled by the emotional mood in the song, and the soul is full of healing. It is worth listening to!

In terms of the style of the song, and the lyrics are all in English, it must be a European and American band! In fact, they are an independent band from Thailand. The number of followers and viewers should be very small. It is a pity that so few people have heard such a great work. I recommend it here.

"Reinhardt Buhr"

Reinhardt Buhr should be regarded as a YouTuber. You can see many street or indoor Live videos on his YouTube channel. His feature is to use the method of Looping to form a one-person orchestra, with various machines, knobs, pedals As a base, record the flutes, keyboards, and rhythm instruments on it.

The Looping I've heard in the past is quite monotonous, and I was surprised when I accidentally discovered him on YouTube a few years ago, because he uses a lot of instruments to add richness, plus he knows how to put in and out of the previously recorded tracks. It seems that he knew how to interpret this song from the beginning, and created a unique piece of music. Even today, he has continued to upgrade his equipment and continue his one-man orchestra.

In fact, I'm very curious about the music he created for these loops, whether it was pre-written, or improvised, or did he think about the general chord progression and rhythm pattern, and let the rest play freely?

"We Are Various"

The abbreviation of We Are Various is WAV, so it happens to be called the sound wave band, which is intended to express the changeable music style and the attitude of daring to try new styles, with a changeable rhythm and an inclusive attitude, stepping on brisk alternative rock The pace, the delicate arrangement, each song is worth savoring again and again.

The band was established in Toronto, Canada in the autumn of 2014. Although the members are engaged in work unrelated to music, they will know that they have never left music after listening to their music, perhaps because of the sparks in their respective work. They continue to create new works.

We Are Various is actually the band I heard for the first time this month. There is a feeling of seeing each other late. Listening to their songs in a relaxed way, it seems to be in a very far away place, as far away as the universe. So far, the feeling is difficult to describe in words, so you must listen to a few more songs to try.
