【Learning Record | This Week Summary】 Week 22 - Learning, Practice, Reading, Infinite Rotation

(edited)
It is said to be a weekly summary, but it always becomes a summary of the content from last Wednesday to this Tuesday (the day of the post).

Summary of the week

  1. Google Capstone Project ( in R ) (in progress)
  2. Python pandas exercises (in progress)
  3. "Get up early to read, and use the inoreader to read the daily news when commuting" (habit forming)

Before writing this, I thought about my recent schedule: 6 - 7:30 reading; 9:30 - 12 studying; 13 - 17, 19 -22 practice; 23 reading , well, very fulfilling. And the weekly summary is always "thinking about writing some problems I encountered and my solutions for the next week", but every time I continue to record the progress.

Content and Reflection

Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate | Coursera

Finished the seventh course of the Certificate in Data Analytics this week and now begins the last course. The last course is a Capstone Project, which mainly guides students to independently complete a small data analysis project, how to display it, and so on. I choose to do one of the topic directions it provides, analyze the sports bracelet data, and then provide suggestions for product promotion strategies.

The current project structure is actually similar to the content structure of previous group assignments. It is all background data research, subject and conclusion. Now the small project has only completed the previous background analysis part and is ready to start the main data analysis. At present, the main problem is that I plan to use R to write this Capstone project (because the course is mainly based on R ), but I don't have time to study the writing method of R in depth on weekdays, so I have to put it on weekends and prepare to do this all day on weekends. (The point is that the weekend is actually full, and it seems that it will be delayed for a while.)

Python Pandas

guipsamora/pandas_exercises: Practice your pandas skills! (github.com)

Back to the second main item, Python exercises. Recently, I found some practice files related to Python pandas and numpy on Github. Although it is a bit embarrassing, it is really useful.

The structure of this exercise is divided into folders by purpose, and there are 2-3 practice files under each purpose, similar to the question types of the practice files under the folder, except for the routine questions and practice files, there is also a guided 's practice file. It also provides links to official documentation if some of the less common features are mentioned in the exercise. On the whole, this exercise is indeed as the sister said, it is worth spending time to do, and it will help improve the mastery of pandas writing. Hope to complete this exercise before the next week roundup.

read

Recently, I started to wake up early every morning and spend some time reading, and I clearly felt that there was more time available. Currently reading "The Common Sense of Poor Charlie," Munger wrote about the twenty-odd psychological tendencies that make us misjudge when we make decisions, and his checklist, for me, helps me think, and Act as a reminder to yourself.

In addition, I also read a very interesting mainland article, don't easily deny the desire for connection wk.3 (weibo.com) , talking about "connection" in interpersonal relationships, it is very good, I will also put down the link of the article here.

Regarding inoreader, if there is a chance in the future, I will share my experience of using it.

other

There are other resources recommended by others that are useful for current learning, and also put down the link here:

  1. Statistics, Machine Learning Theory Section StatQuest with Josh Starmer - YouTube
  2. Hands-on programming part Telusko - YouTube

New week goals (Week 23)

  1. Complete the Python pandas Exercise (7/15 left)
  2. Start Python numpy Exercise
  3. Google Capstone Project (in R) to complete the R coding part

It seems that I am really getting tired more easily than before, unlike in the past when I was in college, I was still very energetic and continued to write until two or three in the morning. After finishing this article, I have no energy to continue doing other things, I just want to rest early.
