Play Jinli

I had nothing to do yesterday, and planned to go out for a walk. After thinking about it, I decided to go to Jinli to play. I remember playing with my friends once in 2019, but at that time I came out to play at night, and I didn't enjoy it . This revisit to the hometown should have a different taste 😄.

Jinli is actually a pedestrian street with a long history. It was very famous during the Three Kingdoms period, when it was a gathering place for small traders and hawkers . Here you can find a lot of Three Kingdoms elements, small crafts, food and more.

Jinli is adjacent to Wuhou Temple. If you are visiting Chengdu for the first time, it is recommended to go to Wuhou Temple first, and then go to Jinli, and you can feel the cultural atmosphere of the Three Kingdoms era . Wuhou Temple has a long-standing reputation. Many literati and writers have visited and wrote inscriptions in history. It has a strong historical atmosphere and is worth visiting. Wuhou Temple is the only temple in China where monarchs and ministers worship together, the most prestigious memorial site for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei and Shu Han heroes, and the most influential museum of the Three Kingdoms relics in the country.

Closer to business, it is said that Jinlijing said Wuhou Temple. There is a couplet at the main entrance of Jinli Pedestrian Street: the history of the Three Kingdoms, the Qin and Han Dynasties, and the guests gathered in Wuzhou to enjoy the ancient and the modern. This couplet expresses the meaning that Jinli has a long history, was famous in the Qin and Han dynasties, and all the guests from five continents gathered here.

After entering the gate, along the main street, you can see many unique crafts , such as clay sculptures of the Three Kingdoms villains, sugar blowing figures, paper-cutting, brown weaving, shadow play props and so on. Looking at these crafts that I have seen in my childhood, I feel like going back in time and returning to my childhood .

One of the craftsmanship places that impresses me the most is a small shop for silver jewelry processing . Looking at the full of silver ingots, I was immersed in the scene, which made me feel like embracing the golden mountains and silver mountains, and being rich enough to rival the country.

The people who came to Jinli that day can be described as a sea of people. After passing the main street in front, you need to pass through a gate called Hansi. "Han Si" in ancient times referred to the market, which is equivalent to entering this door, and then I officially entered the market in Jinli in ancient times .

The back street is completely different from the front street. It is no longer based on craftsmanship, but focuses on Sichuan specialties, gourmet food, and leisure and entertainment . There are everything to eat, drink, play, and play here, so I don't know what to pick.

On the side of the road, there were two "Bronze" people and tourists posing for pictures. The exaggerated movements and shapes made the onlookers laugh .

Going deeper, there is a bridge. There are many teahouses on both sides of the bridge. You can enjoy Sichuan Opera performances while drinking tea and snacks. Among them, the most famous one is the face-changing of Sichuan Opera. I was passing by a large amphitheatre and happened to come across a performance. With the rhythm of the music of "Face Change", Sichuan opera actors constantly switch the masks on their faces. The superb acting skills made many tourists clapp their hands in amazement .

Finally, it's time to talk to everyone about the food. In fact, I don't know what to choose. When I see fresh ones that I haven't eaten before, I want to buy them and try them. In the end, I bought a large sausage, a portion of Yuhualu, and a portion of Sanxian bean curd. Haha, this big sausage is thick enough, if you want to get one, of course the one you bought is definitely not as big.

Playing Jinli this time is to make up for the regret that I didn't enjoy it before . Jinli is indeed a good place to visit. If you come to Sichuan to travel, it is recommended to come and visit, I believe it will leave a good impression on everyone. Only in Jinli will you truly understand what "Bashi" and "Anyi" mean in Sichuan dialect .
