Beautiful scenery seen during travel｜Takeyu Island, Shiga Prefecture, Japan

An island located in the northern part of Lake Biwa, Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, is not only one of the top 100 hidden places in Japan, but has been the seat of belief since ancient times. I hope that through this trip to review the "island where God lives", I can have the effect of prayer, and may the world return to a peaceful, stable and fear-free life as soon as possible.

An island located in the northern part of Lake Biwa, Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture , is not only one of the top 100 hidden places in Japan and one of the eight scenic spots of Lake Biwa , but also a place of belief from ancient times to the present.

On this day, we took a boat from the port of Nagahama, and the TV in the boat showed a guide video about the nearby attractions and Takeyu Island.

When you are about to land on the island, you can see the temples and shrines built along the mountain shape from a distance.

After landing on the island, follow the signs to reach the entrance to the mountain.

To visit the mountain, you must purchase a shrine ticket , which costs 400 yen for adults and 300 yen for children. Group discounts are available for groups of 15 or more.

Passing through the entrance, you will be greeted by a staircase with no end in sight.

When you come here, you can choose to turn right to go to Zhuyujima Shrine , or you can continue to climb up and go to Benjai Tenhondo to visit.

This is the sutra store in front of Benjai Tenhondo, where you can buy Goshu seals.

After visiting the temple , you can purchase the imperial guard on the right side of the main hall. In addition to the imperial guard, there are also small versions of scriptures such as the Japanese version of the Heart Sutra, which are just big enough to be carried in your pocket.

With its back facing the main hall, there is a staircase in front of it.

Go up the stairs to reach the triple tower .

There is a sacred tree about 400 years old next to the triple pagoda.
