A small review of the first half of 2021 (in fact, it is just a home experience)

The first half of 2021 has passed, how are you all?
The blue sky I saw the day before yesterday.

Unknowingly, the first half of 2021 has passed like this. This year feels like it's more empty than last year, at least 4 months out of 6 months, I feel like I'm staying at home, spending endlessly in MCO.

This epidemic has really changed the habits and lives of many people. In the past, I had to travel at least once or twice a year, even if it was nearby Hat Yai, Thailand, I could have a relaxing massage, eat, drink, and travel, but now it's a problem even across counties and states. Recalling that the last time I went to KL was in January last year, it was a work trip, and the work trip originally scheduled in February and March last year were all cancelled due to the epidemic.

However, in this difficult time for everyone, it is the greatest happiness to be able to keep a job and work from home safely.

I can't travel, I can't hang out with friends, and sometimes it's pretty boring.

But I enjoy alone time, so even staying home can find a lot of things to do, it's not really painful.

I am a person who is very enthusiastic about doing things for three minutes, but I am very interested in many things. I want to learn and play when I see everything, so I often learn some things from the east and the west, haha. Staying at home for a long time has actually cultivated various interests.

Among them, reading is an interest from childhood to adulthood (the only one that is less popular in three minutes). Staying at home allows me to have more time to read, which is really good, although the books I read are far behind the speed of buying. Recently, I have started to watch some things that require brain thinking, and the progress has become slower.

Second, I recently researched making scented candles on a whim. The making process is very healing. It is also very healing to watch the candle burn every time after lighting it. But overall it takes a long time. Although the process of doing it is quick, the best ignition deadline is two weeks after completion, so it takes a long time to wait after each completion to know that the proportion is unsuccessful.

I tried to make a plaster cup myself, but I didn't have a good ratio, and there were many flaws.
Warm candlelight, so healing!

Third, I accidentally read some information about zero waste lifestyle online. I've heard of it before, but didn't take it seriously. This time, I suddenly felt that I wanted to try it out, and I could start with small things myself. Immediately checked out a lot of zero waste blogger platforms and read a lot about the concept of zero waste living.

Of course, zero waste sounds too difficult, and it may be a bit of a retreat. After all, to achieve zero waste in our life, zero plastic is really difficult (many things on the market are packaged with plastic), so I decided to start with low waste! Reduction doesn't sound so scary.

Since I got this concept of life last week, I have rarely used tissue, and found that I can use a rag instead of it, but I have always been greedy for convenience and do not want to wash it. In addition, the disposable sanitary napkins that girls use every month cannot be decomposed, but we inevitably need to use them. So I bought a cloth sanitary pad as an alternative (haven't had the courage to use a moon cup), and I just used it for two days after my period, and my experience is - it's very comfortable! It's a feeling of seeing each other too late. (Place an order now and try other sizes)

The beginning stages are recorded here. Hope to discover more low waste/zero waste methods in life, and then update more!

Fourth, exercise! This is an hobby that must be cultivated, but now I have to half force myself to change into sports clothes before I am willing to move. I have been exercising with Coffee Lam since last year. I really like her videos (Youtube: Coffee Lin Qianyu).

In fact, there are still many things to learn and explore in life, so don't get bored at home! Stay curious, never stop learning & exploring! Always stay curious!
