Internet fraud, phishing are everywhere, be careful and be careful to sail the ship

Discord server bot phishing scams have been reported frequently recently. However, for ordinary whites, such phishing scams are even more difficult to prevent. So I wrote a special reminder, and I hope everyone can pay more attention to avoid being attacked by hackers and phishing in Discord.

Discord is a commonly used community marketing platform for many projects, but fraud cases are also common. It can't help but make people feel that Discord's security is worrying, including many well-known projects, which have been brutally murdered. Recently, the frequent robot plug-ins were hacked, and the hackers released phishing messages through the plug-ins. Today we'll be reminding all Discord families again on how to be vigilant and some safety tips to keep in mind when using Discord.

Safety advice (very important, very important, very important)

To be honest, no matter what the times are, the "fraud" behavior has always existed, but it has also progressed relatively with the times. In the early days of Taiwan, there was a saying of the Shining Light Party, and then there was a "rat meeting", then "direct marketing", then phone fraud, Internet fraud, in short, everything was deceived.

It's you who lied

In today's Internet age, various phishing or fraud methods are emerging one after another. Let's say you receive a private message that looks like every well-known Discord bot, "tells you just click the link inside and get free goodies", please! Don't be fooled! The Discord of each project has always explained thousands of times, and will not private message you, private message you, or private message you (it is very important to say it three times), but there are many people, I don’t know if it’s a real novice ? Still lacking vigilance? Or it is simply a petty cheap mentality, and this kind of information has a high probability of catching fish. So unless it's announced on Discord, this kind of robot private message account should never be added to the server, and then foolishly fantasize about what rewards you expect to get, and then look back and see that your wallet may lose a lot before crying....

Remember the most basic principles of prevention to rule out the possibility of fraud:

Then there is a small action to prevent. You can set the system in the "Privacy & Security" page in the user settings, whether to scan for messages that may contain disgusting content, or whether you are willing to receive private messages in the server, and who can add you as a friend. .

1. Any unknown person or link is suspicious, and it is better to kill by mistake than to take a chance.

2. Do not download any inexplicable application, and verify it from multiple parties.

3. Similarly, do not scan any QR code from unknown sources.

4. Don't reveal your password to anyone, don't reveal your password to anyone, don't reveal your password to anyone.

5. Any inexplicable private message of your personal information must be suspicious and cautious. Hackers and scams will fake official identities or contact you through robots.

6. Even if someone you know sends you a private message, especially if it contains a link, keep a cautious attitude, ask for confirmation, and sail carefully.

Be careful that "The Pheasant Exchange" can go in but not come out

In addition to the above precautions. The most important thing to remind everyone is to always maintain a mentality of "checking" and "doubting". It must be said that it is not for everyone not to trust people, but because most of the online communities are not friends who really know the bottom line. It is said that the two ends of the Internet cannot clearly recognize each other, not to mention that even friends who have known each other for many years are very likely to deceive you. , so what I am saying is not to believe in human nature, and to maintain a "prudent" heart anytime, anywhere, is an important cognition of network security.

Your money is not your money

Not to mention the Discord community, and even Facebook, Twitter, Line, etc. in the Wbe2.0 period, there are countless social scams.

Recently, a family member in the community was defrauded by the "pheasant exchange". What is the "pheasant exchange"? It is a little-known small exchange that specializes in cutting leeks. This type of exchange is usually "raised, trapped, and killed" or directly "killed" without even raising it.

The term "pheasant exchange" was passed down from the currency circle in mainland China, and people who have little contact with Taiwan may not know it. It is more common in some small exchanges that have hardly heard of it, and often use some small currencies to attract investors by modifying the background data in a short period of time to generate large increases. And my Discord family ran into this scam.

In the community, we call him "victim" for short, and there is a family member in the community, we call him "scammer". The "victim" process and concept, etc., since this "victim" is a novice in the currency circle, he is led by the nose.

The two of them later added private message friends to each other, as well as Line. "Scammers" will send some short-term trading strategies and market trends from time to time, and chat about some currency circle information. After a few days, the two began to communicate gradually. The "scammer" gave him a link to the exchange at this time, saying that this exchange has a heart of Dover, the rewards are easy to make money, and the platform gives the deposit to double the profit, etc. incentives.

The "victim" fell into the trap without being aware of it, and entered more than 2E of ether. After a while, the "victim" required mint because he got the whitelist of a Discord project, and because mint required gas fees , so he wanted to withdraw the ether from that exchange, but found that he couldn't. He asked the trading platform but said that he must reach a certain amount to withdraw the gold, and then the platform responded.

Don't be the one who "cuts the leeks" leeks

Please pay more attention to this exchange name "OTEX", please be careful. So there are so many "frauds", whether it's fishing or community fraud. If you don't want to be a "leek" and be "cut to the leek" by others, you have to be very careful. There are nobles and villains in this world. Be more careful and more A security, how to distinguish, to be honest, I can't tell you all, I can only say be careful and be careful.

Okay, let’s talk about this today. I hope that you can have good luck in meeting noble people, not bad people, whether in the Internet, blockchain, currency circle, or even in the process of life. You can't rely on others to prevent fraud, you can only rely on yourself. Finally, I will say "be careful, be careful and be careful, be careful sailing for thousands of years".

Finally, if you have any experience or suggestions, please leave a message below to discuss!
