[Matters Community Event] Unforgettable is the smell of the factory

(edited)
Maybe because of my personal background, I really like the factory area. Even if the water on the ground with oil stains is melancholy, I still like to stay there and breathe the air there. That smell is a reassuring smell.

The smell of a factory area is complex and also influenced by the major industries in that area or floor. The floor with many metalworking products will have a metal smell, and the ink smell must be the number of floors where printing factories and publishing houses are located. With the activation of industrial buildings, some floors will have the aroma of food or perfume.

But there's one smell that's at the heart of the time, and that's the smell of truck-smell mixed with tool oil in the parking lot. There is also the indescribable smell in the elevator of the factory. It is the smell of oil and rust mixed with various products, which is stuffy in the elevator with poor ventilation.

None of them sounded pleasing to the eye and smell, but this is the one that reassures me the most. Because growing up in the factory was the best year of my life. At that time, Mammy was still in good health, and I was still the youngest in the family. My grades in kindergarten were good, and I was very good at running and jumping. I was a child that everyone expected. The family's economy happened to be at a good time, so the family was also very harmonious, and the others in the family didn't speak unpleasantly because of the presence of Mammy.

But then everything started to fall apart, and that was when I started not being able to stay in the factory area every day. I began to collapse, my family began to collapse, and so did Momma's body... Everything was like a domino head, out of control. Since then, all kinds of unpleasant smells in the factory area have become my comforting quilts. Every time I can’t stand it, I will report to myself and comfort myself with the smell.
