The LAO Rundown 👾

Ethereum Push Notification Service (EPNS) is a decentralized, incentivized notification ecosystem for the Ethereum network. In October, EPNS won $16k in the 7th round of Gitcoin Grants, with a total of 214 donors. They have published their litepaper , an article: 13 DeFi Notifications Ethereum Needs Today , migrated the protocol on the Ropsten network, and are building infrastructure fast!

Transak is a simple and compliant way for customers to buy and sell crypto assets via bank transfers. In October, Transak provided about $350,000 in funding in one week. Overall, trading volumes on the platform are increasing thanks to successful partnerships with MetaMask, Clever and Polymarket. Idle allows users to automatically manage the distribution of their digital assets between different DeFi protocols. In October, Idle announced their partial governance model and launched a proposal to solicit feedback from the Discord community on early LP allocations . Idle also announced a partnership with CryptoLocally to demonstrate how the Idle protocol can overcome barriers and create opportunities in DeFi. Finally, they passed Quantstamp's fourth security audit. Busy October!

Arc is an ethereum asset game that revolves around creating new synthetic assets. In October, the team released the new staking pool, deployed the new XP token, and started working on the design and implementation of the v2 smart contract. SuperRare is a blockchain network and marketplace for artists, creators and collectors. In October, SuperRare launched the GenZ exhibit in Decentraland. October was also the first month that its art sales exceeded $1 million, and its monthly active collectors rose 40%.

Aavegotchi is a DeFi-enabled NFT platform where users can collect, compete and combine their Aavegotchis. The team had a great October, GHST's staking contract was audited by QuantStamp , and the " Stake GHST Make FRENS " NFT farming program was launched.

The GHST token has been listed on more than 15 crypto exchanges, and the team has also released a video of DeFi + NFT starring Aavegotchi.

Gelato is a tool for developers to automate the execution of smart contracts on Ethereum. In October, Gelato successfully hired its first full-time team member to help integrate Gelato into other projects. The team has some cool integrations coming soon, and aims to announce them by the end of the year, so stay tuned! We also introduced Gelato to other developers at IOSG's DeFi Summit.

dHEDGE is an asset management protocol that connects the world's best investment managers with investors on the Ethereum blockchain. October was a very busy month for dHEDGE. After completing the review, they went live on mainnet using the dHEDGE app in October . The team also released a roadmap and an updated special protection plan. Finally, they published a guide on how to build a bot that interacts with the dHEDGE protocol via our Bot SDK .

Maple is a dapp for optimizing the issuance, investment, repayment and governance of corporate debt. In October, Maple recruited new recruits, growing its engineering development team from just one full-stack engineer to five, including two newcomers who started work in November. They collaborated with Deepworks, a DeFi design studio, to create a UX that suits the needs of advanced users. Additionally, Maple has progressed in the prestigious CDL Accelerator program with world-class mentors from founders, operators and VC backgrounds. Lastly, Maple also participated in a Founders Panel on DeFi Fixed Income hosted by FBG Capital.

FlamingoDAO

On October 5th, we released FlamingoDAO, the first DAO incubated and formulated by The LAO community. Flamingo will support the thriving NFT metaverse, helping companies, platforms and dapps explore the innovative possibilities of NFTs and provide seed investment for them.

FlamingoDAO was conceived in conversations with members of The LAO who are deeply researching the NFT ecosystem. Like The LAO, Flamingo will support the best individuals, projects and teams to build the emerging metaverse with a "hive mind".

FlamingoDAO launched on October 8th and will remain open until all available units are sold on the DAO. About 24% left so far
