Aragon's ANJ vote void
On October 6, Aragon officially announced its latest governance proposal: merging ANJ back into ANT, i.e. canceling the ANJ token from now on.
Officials say: The purpose of the proposal is to increase the usage of Aragon Court by using ANT to increase its security by a factor of 20, and at the same time, to reduce the confusion of having two tokens. The proposal was launched on Snapshot's Aragon channel on October 5, and passed by an overwhelming majority on October 9. But in subsequent messages, Aragon scrapped the proposal due to community opposition. Currently, Aragon is communicating with the community to reach a broader consensus.
ANJ was launched in February 2020 as a work symbol for Aragon Court jurors. Since its launch, more than 250 people have become Aragon Court jurors by staking ANT to generate ANJ.

Changes in the leadership of the 100x Group, which is part of the BitMEX platform
According to a recent legal filing in the U.S., with the full consent of the founders, the leadership changes have been made to 100x Group, the holding group of HDR Global Trading Ltd. and the owner and operator of the BitMEX platform.
Vivien Khoo, COO of 100x Group, will serve as interim CEO with additional operational responsibilities. She joined the firm in March 2019, leaving her role as managing director of Asia Pacific compliance at Goldman Sachs. Previously, she served at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
Chief Commercial Ben Radclyffe will be responsible for handling customer relationships and overseeing financial products. He joined the firm in March 2020 with a 20-year background in finance and trading technology at Deutsche Bank, UBS and Tower Research Capital.
Company founders Arthur Hayes and Samuel Reed have stepped down from their respective CEO and CTO management responsibilities, effective immediately. Along with fellow founder Ben Delo, they won't be taking executive positions at 100x Group. In addition, Greg Dwyer will be taking a leave of absence from his position as Director of Business Development.
Senior leaders in our technical team will continue to conduct day-to-day management of the BitMEX platform, including continuous efforts to improve the platform's performance.

OpenZeppelin Releases Smart Contract Upgrade Research Report
OpenZeppelin, a well-known Ethereum technology service provider, has investigated various Ethereum smart contract upgrade modes and strategies from a technical perspective, and also provided good practices and suggestions for upgrade management and governance.
In this report, combined with the specific practices of MakerDAO, COMP, USDC and other projects, OpenZeppelin lists four different upgrade strategies, including parameter configuration, contract registration, strategy mode, and pluggable mode, and analyzes the specific technical details. In addition, the report also discusses the governance of contract upgrades, arguing that the sign of project decentralization is to upgrade permissions from single account to multi-signature to community voting governance.
