Farewell to 2021, welcome to 2022

Learn to love yourself and be at peace in the chaos.

On the last day of 2021, I read the posts of my friends on social media while working. I didn’t expect so many people to review the changes in their lives in the past year and express their feelings for the past 365 days through text.

The epidemic is not over yet, the social environment is still very bad, the invisible repression has severely impacted many hearts, and there are many silent goodbyes. Although we foresee that the road ahead is still bumpy and difficult, life still has to go on...

Compared with the terrible social collapse, my life in 2021 is not too bad. Although I fell into a long period of low ebb in the middle of the year, suddenly the courage to talk to strangers disappeared, the inspiration of creation disappeared, and I couldn't find it anywhere. The people who live are simply plunged into the valley of despair.

When you realize that you have a problem, the first thing is to cut off all external information, try not to read those sad news, and then give yourself some homework in life, breathe well, keep exercising, start from writing some simple words, gradually Make an effort to write a short article, and try to write a long article when you have inspiration. No matter whether the quality of the article is in line with your own wishes, as long as you can write a well-organized article, you should also praise your progress and rebuild your self-confidence to live. .

This year, I gradually learned to love myself, listen to my needs, accept my imperfections, and live for myself: "I'm not doing well, but I will live." Every day's homework is like a kind of repeated practice, piecing together myself again, regardless of whether it is good or bad, just say it, I am me.

Grateful to have family around you who love you, have good companions, and have good friends. Perhaps it was some good fortune that I had accumulated. With the help of nobles, I changed my career path without any effort, and successfully completed a job that combines my experience and interests for more than a year. In such turbulent years, I have a place to live. It is not easy.

This year, I have developed a habit of exercise, my physical fitness has improved, and I have gained a little muscle. When the epidemic is rampant, having a healthy body is also a luxury happiness.

Many people are accustomed to setting goals and plans for the new year, but these two years of distress in the city have made people understand that plans often fail to keep up with changes. Thinking back to Hong Kong a few years ago, who would have thought that the city had become so strange and scary? Who would have thought that someone would have to leave the country in a hurry? Who would have thought that this life could be parted with a loved one?

Don't say a year later, maybe a month later, or the change within a few days, it is unpredictable in this era. After two years of practice, I have learned to be patient, so I can take it easy. Do well every little thing in front of you in a down-to-earth manner, gather sand into a tower, and add up to a lot. The strength we give every day may seem small, but the tangible things accumulated may change our future, and even the future of society.

Don't be discouraged at this moment, don't blame yourself for being insignificant; a single spark can start a prairie fire. Live, do what you can do, and one day you will meet your ideals.

Remind yourself, and also dedicate it to those who are destined: Peace in the chaos.

May everyone have a new beginning and new discoveries on New Year's Day in 2022.
